Always wanted to be a teacher, Integrated course would save me a year, also this institute is run by and comes under NCERT and hence this is the best institution in India you could do your b.ed from, it also provides placement for the interested, starting from 25k to 40k and even 45-50k for the people pursuing non integrated b.ed after their masters. CEE (combined entrance exam) is conducted every year for admission in all RIEs.The RIE for a candidate is selected based on his/her domicile. RIE bbsr admits the students from all the northeastern states, bihar, west bengal, odisha, jharkhand and Andaman and Nicobar Island. CEE holds 60% weightage in the cumulative score whereas 12th boards holds the rest 40%. 1st year stays hectic but the next 2 yrs are pretty laidback and one can try several interests and ventures in this period, 7th sem is internship in JNVs and it gets pretty hectic after that. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to pursue b.ed/m.ed, it has best of both worlds.
The course and curriculum is well thought of, although the topics provided semester wise is rather different when compared to other universities, for example the very first sem in geography contains oceanography and history of british literature, 5th sem in english hons has 21 literary theories and history of American literature to be studied along with the death of a salesman, unlike any other university in my knowledge. Alongside, you would have to study education and additional subjects such as AECC (communication) and DSE or environmental studies, it gets easy once one gets a hang of it. The faculties are extremely qualified and experienced with many of them have taught abroad such as Frankfurt, the faculties also have significant contribution in the formulation of ncert textbooks for cbse schools and one can find their names in the acknowledgement of those textbooks. Sem and mid exams are managed properly and are generally on time.
7th sem has an entire internship as student teachers in JNVs, the internship gets very real as the teachers at jnv impose their duties upon the interns a lot, along with the lesson and unit plans one has to do and the preparation for further career options at such a crucial time
We have placements, 25-40k for integrated courses, one would definitely grab a placement if one wants to, 45-50k for Students who have their masters completed. Lots of schools from odisha and rest of india come to hire the best of the b.ed students trained here. Right from chinmaya to apollo international schools. Although most of the students grab either a govt. Teaching job or choose further studies, bsc b.ed opts for IIT JAM, and ba b.ed Students enroll themselves for masters in other colleges. Some students continue their studies here by pursuing m.ed as per their interest.

Inter house sports(basketball, football, table tennis, volleyball, chess) and atheletics Inter house cultural programs Inter house literary activities (debates, essay writing, recitation, extempore in several languages) Houses are divided based on courses and year Freshers party and several other seminars and events are being held time to time. Library is super rich with almost any course book available in n amount, the system of searching books in library is digital and super easy with staff available to assist. The college has an eco club for the interested. Girls have to report back to hostel by 8 pm sharp Library is open till 8 pm except on Saturday and Sunday (6 pm on weekends) The college has a very low strength comparatively as a perk to which the students are really acquainted with one another and are extremely cooperative and supportive along with the diverse culture one gets to live and explore while making friends right from nagaland, bihar to andaman and Nicobar islands
Administration asks whether the candidate wants to opt for hostel right at the time of counseling and there are sufficient rooms available as per the seats in the courses, Hostel fees is about 2550rs a month, we have a self student running mess in hb hostel(hostel for integrated boys) and get to decide the menus and other all arounds of the mess. Talking about HB hostel,1st and 2nd yr students have to live 03 in one room currently, it's quite adjustable and used to, 3rd and 4th yr students get to live 02 in each room with individual almirahs, windows and tables. Situations as per the hostels vary but one should find no issue in staying in any of the hostels of the college, although some parts of few hostels need urgent renovation so much so that it could pose a threat to students... The hostel for boys is absolutely privileged and relaxed for any guy in terms of independence, the boys are extremely helpful and brotherly. The occasional infrastructural issues exist
After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
