Remarks :
There is no separate entrance exam to get into BE courses in this college, if you have already given JEE Main Exam. All anyone have to do is just apply for JAC Chandigarh counselling. Admission to this college depends upon the number of students applied or what there JEE rankings are. But anyone easily gets admission here even if they have high rankings also. The cutoff for getting into this government college is not a big issue just give JEE Main exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
CSE or IT of this college is the one it is famous for, or mostly students are here for these. I also choose IT that's why. The faculty are very helpful and decent in teaching. Some are well qualified some are not. Exams are according to Panjab University Chandigarh curriculum, which is great. Semester exams are not difficult, anyone can pass with decent marks by little studying.
Internships Opportunities :
The internships are not easy to find here, students have to suffer a lot as there are no nearby companies in surroundings. Most have to go to Chandigarh, Mohali, Delhi for internships and placements. Most of the students get decent roles in startup companies.
Placement Experience :
The placements for the college is good above average, with 70% students getting placed. In 2024, approx 25 companies visited, 60 offers and 55 students placed so far, in companies like Infosys, Quark, Chic Mic, Pie Infotech, Xenon Stack, Cognizant, Growth Natives, Josh Technologies, etc*. Past recruiters are Paytm, Sonalika, Tech Mahindra, Zomato, Hitachi, Isuzu, Policy bazar, etc*. Highest packages are 9-12 LPA, average 5-7 LPA. Off campus student also got 25 LPA from Cisco in 2024. Mechanical students getting 7 LPA packages also.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee for the BE course is 1 Lakh 15 thousands approx, which have to be paid in two installments. Other than this a student society fund of 1000 to be paid every year. There are SC ST scholarships for punjab region students also. Merit cum means also available but don't know anyone got or not.
Campus Life :
Literally no engineering fests in recent years, only Law fests and events, no budget for engineering students. There is a good library available with all necessary books, easy to issue. No ACs in classrooms only fans. Although labs are good with ACs installed but old systems. No sports culture, only a sports meet every year, few extra curricular activities. Aside from this, there are lots of clubs or groups like SHOR, VARTA, DCULT, Platform Tech, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
One boys Hostel and one girls hostel. Girls Hostel is big enough to accommodate all girls, but Boys hostel is small and only the merit list students get rooms there. All others have to stay in private PG nearby college with 3000 monthly charges. Mess is good, clean and cheap. Food quality is ok ok. Infrastructure is decent.

To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
