The factors that made me decide to choose this college are that it is a Government college is an NAAC A grade college that provides courses based on AICTE and has a degree from Panjab University which makes it an excellent choice to join the institute Also the placement record of this institution was pretty great and average package was decent about 6lpa and highest package around 14lpa, the admission process here is through JAC Chandigarh counseling and there are a total of 3 rounds and 2 spot rounds based on JEE mains ranking, the cutoff for CSE is around 55k - 95k but changes drastically. The very good aspect of this college is that it has a lot of greeneries and a great environment and sometimes you can also see the mountains of Himachal, it is remote but every necessary thing is available for living there.
The course curriculum is very well planned and designed based on AICTE and gives a solid foundation on learning and understanding the basics and foundation of engineering, all the subjects are in-depth and to the point explained, the faculties here are highly qualified and most of them are from IITs and NITs, they give proper assessment and assignments to make the student understand the subject the teaching methodology here is very efficient and will help you learn to engineer and make you a better engineer, the exams here are held in three phases 2 midterm and 1 end term also the practical exams, the financial aid is provided to the needy such as for weak students, orphans, etc also scholarship programs are there.
Many renowned companies come for placements such as Zscaler, xenon stack, Utrade, and Panthera technologies providing many roles such as full stack developer, and cloud infrastructure administrator giving an internship stipend of around 20k-30k and giving proper 3 months to 6 months training and then full-time conversion-based on performance.
The campus invites companies for placement and provides an average package of around 6lpa and 10lpa highest package and calls for the same, the college also invites internship opportunities for final year students to many profiles in the college. the eligibility criteria is around 7.5 CGPA overall, overall each student who is interested in placement gets placed so placement percentages are good, many students here apply for higher studies like GATE, CAT, or UPSC and study those subjects.
The only special thing about this college was its social life, here fest is organized for every festival, cultural fests like Tarang and technical fests like techno fest are organized once a year, sports meet about every 2 years, and there are many social clubs such as shor, Varta, literary clubs, etc which take part in university-level competitions and has great leadership and even win prizes. there are many technical clubs such as Google dsc algozenith which also contribute to cultural growth, the food here is of good quality and affordable and every place has some food stalls there is a night mess also.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
