- The college library is really cool. It consists of a wide range of books varrying to different types and genres
- Apart from studies, this college is also very active and taked participations in various extra curricular activities.
Dislikes
- The college canteen is a little turn off. Because the food is not that good and they also do not have much variety of items
- The do not have air conditioners and smart board in all the classrooms
Remarks :
I have specially taken admission in this college because it has no compulsory attendance criteria. As I am pursuing CA so its quite difficult for me to manage my studying schedule with my college . So for that situation this college is best with affordable cost as when you are not regular in classes it's a waste of money to choose an expensive college. Their admission procedure is also very simple and easy . One can apply online for the forms and there is no need to be present offline. They did not take any admission test as I applied in the very initial days and also made it to the first merit list. Students who have scored 50% and more are eligible for applying for the forms
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty members of this college are very kind , polite and helpful towards the students. Not only the teaching staff but also the office staffs are very very cooperative. And that is of great help. Also the teachers there are well qualified.
Internships Opportunities :
No I have not yet opted for any kind of internship on my own as I am pursuing CA and I am still preparing for my CA foundation examinations and after that I'll have to clear my second exam Ca inter and then I will be doing articleship under icai itself
Placement Experience :
The Tara Devi Harakh Chand Kankaria Jain College does not guarantee any placement and job opportunities. This college is mainly prefered for just taking a graduation degree and choosing any other placement based course or any competitive examination
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I have applied for bcom and my fees is rs.38000p.a which 114000 for the whole course. Other than mine, the fees for B.A hons ranges from 11000-62000per annum. This college also has a scholarship facility where students who have scored above 85 percent in their 12th board examinations can apply for the scholarship of 20%.
Campus Life :
This college is very famous for its grandly celebrated annual event called Ripples and it's generally held in the month of December every year. I have heart that they call different celebrities to perform in the event on that day. Also they have formed many clubs and social groups within the college and students can join any of them based on their interests
Hostel Facilities :
In my knowledge,this college doesn't have any hostel service or may be it had one but I have not opted for the college hostel. I have rented a pg located in Girish park which is at a distance of 30-40 mins form the college via bus. You can easily get a direct bus from girish park to the college.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
