- The university's infrastructure is very good , really impressive , a big library , canteen also very royal cafeteria where u can chill out after having a class, campus have seperate building for every department also rerf clg is situated inside the university's campus
- The faculties are also very supportive , helpful , they help you in every problematic situation also are highly educated person.
Dislikes
- The management is not that much good the major dislike of the campus
- The college does not have their own placement cell so it's a major issue in the clg
Remarks :
I got to know about the college by reaching out to a counsellor. Yes anyone wants to pursue their graduation or pg they can definitely chose this college as a path of it. One should have a minimum eligibility qualification like 50% in boards & a pcm background if u r taking admission in btech as your course .
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was very fond of becoming a software engineer, so I decided to make my career in this field thats why I chose this course .the faculties here are highly educated & helpful too . A sem has two class assessment, in the starting of sem & in the mid of sem which gets evaluated in as your mid term scores , and a end sem in the last of semester which contains the high weightage .
Internships Opportunities :
I am in 2nd year now & completed with my DSA & all one can start their coding journey in first year as I have started earlier, u will have the edge over the many students . U can search for internships in linkedin by reaching out to recruiters .
Placement Experience :
Many companies visits the campus for on campus placement but for that u have to be at the top most student of your department u can say like a topper all professors favourite , or there is another method u can go for off campus drive for getting ur desired job in ur dream company
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
First year :- admission fee + dress fee + 1st sem fee= 80000 +2nd semi.e. 35000 = 115000 Second year 70000 Third year 70000 Fourth year 70000 Also anyone domicile of west bengal can get scholarship of svmcm in which they get 60000 per year
Campus Life :
Alaap a freshers fest happens every year for the newly joined students , the fest culture of the college is extremely good celebrated around mid of September. University has their own ground a grand library cafeteria , u can join clubs like cultural club or singing club etc.
Hostel Facilities :
I have not opted for hostel as there are many pgs & flats in the locality one can stay here also if one wants to opt for hostel , at the time of registration there gets a hostel registration form where u can apply & opt for the same , the fee is something around 66000 per year

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
