The factors that made me choose this college is due to it's affordability (3.5 lakhs for a 4 year course is great deal), also it is tier-3 GFTI (NIRF rank for this year is under 75). If you scored a low rank in jee mains examination you can consider taking admission in the college as the cutoff ranking is not too high. Here's is a insights for the same (CRL rank is for general): 1) CSE - 80k 2) ECE - 110k 3) EE - 165k 4) ICE - 200k 5) ME - 320k 6) CE - 350k 7) FT - 500k 8) Civ - 550k College accepts admission through JOSAA or CSAB counselling for BE course, also through LEET(lateral entry to second year), college offers courses like diploma, pg, PhD too.
Academics in the college is same as other engineering colleges in India, the syllabus is totally outdated and less focused on practical aspects. The study is totally theoretical and focuses on how to get good grades in all the examination and not to teach students the real life example for the same. The college follows the same syllabus which was followed in 2004-2007. Faculties of the college is quite good and descent, but as the college is deemed, no is there to keep a check on faculties. They do whatever they want. They do not cover the syllabus and no one there to question them.
The college do not offer any internship opportunities to students, students themselves have to search for the same. We get training program after the completion of first year (2 weeks program in summer vacation). It is mandatory to do intership related to your branch after the end of fourth sem.
The placements in the college is average, big giants do not visit this college. Average placement - 7 LPA Highest placement for this year till now is 11.5 LPA offered by Hindustan Unilever to 5 electrical students, Highest placement previous year was 22 LPA offered by a semiconductor company to a ECE student. The ratio of students getting on campus placement is around 60%, many of which getting placed under 4 LPA in companies like Infosys. Rest of students either prepare for GATE examination, Civil services and off campus placement.

You will be allotted a hostel during the admission process, you get a bed in 3-seater room which has: 3 beds, 3 chairs, 3 almirah, 2 fans, 1 light. The room is just average but when rent (4000 per semester) is considered, it is a good deal. Every hostel has a mess run by private contractors, you get breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner. The quality of the food is average and price is high for this quality of food. To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
