- There is a tea garden and nursery in my campus . My campus is also recognised as 185 campus in global eco friendly campus
Dislikes
- The hostel food is the major dislike.it is very difficult to adjust for this food
- The location of this campus is drawback such that it is located in Assam so it is the problem for transportation

Based on my jee rank I choose this college . I also prefer other colleges over this. But based on my rank I get this college. The cutoff for cse department is below 18000 rank for general ews. So I happy with my branch in this college as all my classmates are come from different states and it is comfortable to engage with all
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose the cse course as I was interested in coding. There are so many faculty in my campus who are recognised as top 0.1% professors in world. The teaching method of faculty is traditional way only. Exams are conducted like mid and sem once in a semester. The difficulty level is average as we can able to pass by studying before the exam
Internships Opportunities :
In my college they also providing some internships based on our skill and ability. They are providing at the 6 semester.the stipend is also reasonable for our work. These internships also helpful for pre placement offers
Placement Experience :
The placements percentage is 88% around . In my branch 90% is placements percentage. The highest package this year is 64 lpa and average placement is 22 lpa in cse department.There are some MNCs which visit my campus for the placements.these companies also provide pre placement offers also.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are many Scholarships available. For sc and st there is fees concession. All together we need to pay the 100500 at the time of registration itself. For general category whose income greater than 5 lakhs need to pay whole fees for sem . For income less than 1 lakh need to pay 38000 and income between 1 to 5 lakhs need to pay 60000. There are other Scholarships we can apply like nsp,ffe,idfc etc
Campus Life :
Life at the campus is amazing. As I was experienced all the states culture and traditions. They conduct technical fest and cultural like fest once in a year. There is also a sport competition once in a year. In my college there is India's largest library. So there is plenty of books in library. There are all kinds of sports in my campus and they are conducting inter nit sports event. There are so many clubs in my campus to engage with all issues and students.
Hostel Facilities :
I am staying in the hostel in campus. There are 9 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel in the campus. The hostel mess is average and the hostel fees including mess is 22500 per sem. The registration process is simple and easy in online only.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
