To get into this college we have to give jee mains exam which is called joint entrance exam I didn't face any group discussion or interview but I took advice from the seniors of this college. They told me about the ragging and the facilities in classroom and many more things and they are very helpful. The most attractive things about the nit Silchar is placement as I belong to CSE department so the placement is very good for easy branch the placement is also very good
I choose this course for like I didn't have that much rank to get into colleges like with CSE branch and prefer branch over College after CSAB round I got CSC branch in nit silchar the professors are highly qualified then the teaching method of all the faculties is very good. There are also tutorial classes after every class. For doubts they took every student doubt and resolve it
I haven't applied for internship program but I can give you the detail manage student get internship in second year or after second year in third year the rules offered in internship terms are like senior developer, junior developer software developer. If some student have management skills then senior manager or junior manager project. I don't have that much knowledge about projects as I did not opted for internship
The placement of my college is fabulous like it is not the develop City. Even placement is very good every company has different eligible criteria for placement like cgpa. The past recruiters are Google Amazon infosys Apple Samsung xiaomi Facebook meta LinkedIn Microsoft the average package of CSE branch is 24 lakhs and the highest package of CSE branch is 82 lakhs per annum
Basically the fee structure is like that I am from the family which has the family income below 1 lakh so I don't have to pay the tuition fee but I have to pay the hostel and mash fee which is 1 lakh 21,000 per year but some of my friends have to pay the tuition fee because they belong to the family background which has more than five lakhs family income and some of my friends has to pay 1/3 of the tuition fees because they belong to the family which has the family income between one lakh and 5 lakh
The life at nit Silchar is pretty good like there are many fest which is conducted by the students organisation and we have lot of friends they encourage students to participate in it. Also in my college there is Asia's biggest digital library in which more than 1 lakh books is present. We can get any book in that library. Also, the sports facilities is very good. We can play whatever we want and whenever you want like within the range of hostel time.
The full quality of the oster is quite good, but I don't like that much because I belong to other state so I don't like the food they Cook they used to cook the food assamis manner so I don't like that the mainly focus on nonveg food but the room is very good there is two students in one room and two tables. Two beds two all mirrors with partitions and 24 hours electricity. They also cleans the corridor every after 2 days bathrooms is very clean sometimes electricity cuts but it is manageable. So yeah that's it
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
