- Almost all types of clubs are present in the college and all types of people love this campus.

Remarks :
I have cracked jee mains exam and got admission into this college as my rank was not upto the mark I have to opt for this particular branch which I got through counselling went through rigorous coaching of around 2 years to crack this examination.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Later on developing interest on the branch and explored the opportunities I have acquired skills required through our faculty who are very good at theirs subjects and through examination conducted regularly and lab evaluation I became an expert at the subjects and got placed
Internships Opportunities :
Yeah I have done some internships in companies like BHEL,BPCL during my sem break of 3 rd year and 4 th year. It is mandatory for everyone to do atleast 3 internships inorder to get placed in good companies.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility for the placement is min 6.0 CGPA most of the reputed company like IBM, UHG, INFOSYS etc for branches like cse and ece and companies like HPCL BPCL navaratna, maharatna companies visit our campus and select candidates required for their roles Highest package offered here is 50 lpa and have an average package of 9lpa and minimum package of 5lpa For students in cse there is 100% placement and all other branches have 90% placement. After my degree planning to pursue higher education in other countries.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly around 1 lakh college fees and 35000 mess fees per semester and there is caution deposit of 10000 only once during the start of the batch College fees includes tuition fees, library fees,lab fees, examination fees etc There is also one time admission fees, registration fees. Candidate with reservation are exempted from tuition fees which is around 70000 per year.
Campus Life :
There will be many fests going on throughout the year main one is tecnosis which is a technical fest in the odd semester of every academic year where we are given opportunities and facilities to do technical things robo wars, coding competition. Next is INCANDESCENCE biggest cultural fest in North eastern colleges where there will be ramp walk,dance competition, modelling,dj nights etc Coming to the library NIT SILCHAR has biggest library in the asia where there is availability of almost every type of books and library is available 24 hrs There is almost every club like skating, mountaineering and trekking club,Dance club,singing club and what not almost every club is present there and every club has their own activities going on daily
Hostel Facilities :
Quality of food is great and non veg will be there every day(except on Wednesday) every one will get hostel if they opt for hostel there are around 10 hostels out of 3 are for girls. 24 hrs water supply is there and geysers are available,we can wash our clothes or we can give it to dhobi which they cost 8/ per piece. We can also rent houses in the nearby locality which is usually cheap than most of the cities.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
