Likes
- The best side of the college is the infrastructure is quite good and the campus life is actually good.
- There are students from the different cities which is the quite best side of the college, because they have different culture and traditions which they shares with the friends which creates a good bond between the students.
Dislikes
- The most I dislike about the college is schedules of the examinations of the mid semesters are quite hectic.
- Due to the much engaging schedules the students have to be there available for the examinations and no choice to skip the one mid semester exam. you have to give both mid semester exam is compulsory.
Remarks :
The most important factor that made me choose this college is the fees is affordable instead of any other colleges and the other factor is that the college is State Government. I haven't face any kind of Group discussions or interviews or any written tests for admission. I got admission on the counselling based admission. The fact is that before the 2022 students get admission on the basis of JEE examinations and their ranks but after the 2022 students get admission via counselling or direct admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chose this course because I always want to become a software engineer that is the most important factor to choose this program course. The faculties of the college is highly educated and their teaching method is quite good. The faculties are much knowledgeable and they shares their experiences with the students. There were 2 times mid-semester exams conducted and the internal marks for the final should be based on the basis of average of both mid semester exams. The external (final semester) examination will be of 60 marks and the difficulty level is moderate, if the students prepare well they will be able to score well.
Internships Opportunities :
There are teachers who gave us the refrences for filling the internships and students also fills for the internships on their own. I have attend the training and internship program at the end of 2nd year in Data Science and build a project during my internship period.
Placement Experience :
There is the eligibility criteria for the placement that you are academically a good student and then only you are able to get chance to sit in the placements. The few recruiters out of them are Cognizant, Wipro, TCS etc. The highest package is about to 16lpa and the average is about to 6lpa. My plans after getting the degree is to become a software engineer and get placed at any IT sector.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly fees of the course is 89400 which included Tuition fee and SRF (student related fund) and URF (university related fund) and the examination fees per semester is about 2500 for odd Semester and for the odd semester is about to 2500. There is two types of scholarship schemes are available that the Tuition fee wavier for the all students and the other is PMS (Post Matric Scholarship) for the SC/ST based student.
Campus Life :
There would many types of events that are conducted. There is Youth fest which is about to happen every year and the youth fest is about to happen in the month of September-October every year. There is a vast collection of books in the college library named as 'Knowledge Resource Center". the classrooms are quite comfortable and good. The classrooms are clean and suitable for the students. There are many types of sports and extracurricular activities are conducted in the campus. there is also celebrated sports day. There are many types of clubs are also conducted for engaging students in the different activities according to their interest like Cultural Club, Organizers club, Editorial Club, coding club, sports club etc. The website for the university is named as ptu.ac.in which is handelled by the university on its own.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, I have opted for the hostel. The students home whose distance is about to 50km from the university, only they are allowed to get admission in the hostel. The hostel's environment is good for the students and the infrastructure is average. you have to fill the form for the admission in the hostel physically then only you are able to get admission in the hostel. The fees for the hostel is about to 25000 per year but the mess charges will be based on per month about to 3300. The food quality of the mess is quite good.

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
