I chose this college because of it being close to my residence as well as close to mulund station. The college is very well known for this annual fest 'Dimensions' and other extracurriculars. The college has a good alumni history. The college also follows a good cut off pattern making it a well known college in mulund and thane areas
I chose the Psychology course as it provides a good area of opportunities because of its growing demand. The faculty is good as it is very indulgent in terms of curriculum design and skill development in students. It consistently organizes various exhibitions, film festivals, and other such programmes making students think out of the box. The term exams have a good level of difficulty making students to understand the concept to score well.
Yes. I opted for a 10 day undergraduate internship course offered by IPH thane to Tyba Psychology students. The internship helped us learn about the various aspects of clinical psychology with Interactive activities and role playing as well as exposing us to the various tests
For my course, the college tales initiative for exposing us to internships in various fields of psychology, even as undergraduates, which is not very common. The college trains students tk develope critical research skills for further use.
The Tyba Psychology course required a few payment of 12000 rs for the entire yr. For fyba the course fees for around rs 8000 and for the syba, the course fees was around rs 10000 (different for opena and reserved) .The Tyba Psychology course has also started an sfc batch from this year which has more fees.
The annual collegiate fest 'Dimensions' is conducted every year in the month of December and is what makes the college truly famous and worth taking admission in. Would definitely recommend being a part of events committee for dimensions. There are plenty of books available in the library for helping students, relevant to their course. The gymkhana provides opportunities for students who are inclined towards sports to practice and enhance their skills. Various committees such as the English literary association, Rising from the ashes (dpt. If psychology) Nss, etc are available for students.
Did not opt for a hostel. The college is close to my place of residence hence did not need any hostel. The surroundings of the college is a very calm place and has residential buildings. The college is close by to station hence the commuting aspect becomes very easy
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
