The college is highly ranked in mumbai and also is near form my house. There were no interviews or written test at the admission process. The admission was based on merit. The cut offs differ every year. Last year the cut off of biotechnology was starting from 82 and closing to 75 somewhere.
I choose this course because it was highly recommend after pcb. The faculty is highly qualified and the teaching methods are also good. Some teacher prefer projector and some peeferr books to teach from. There are 2 sems per year. The biotechnology department has total 6 sems that is it is a 3 year course. With sems we have practicals and internal exams also.
There is no intership for graduate students. The interships only apply for masters students and also there are only few departments which have interships and placements available. For our department we have outdoor projects to do for graduate and for masters also.
There are placements for very few departments. Interships are there for masters students. There is very low low opportunities of campus placements. My plan after the degree is to give entrance eas of biotechnology for masters in IIT.
The year wise fee is 43305. It differs for sy and ty. For sy it is 46000 and for ty it is 49000. The fees includes tution fees, caution fees, addmission fees, lab fees, dimensions, development fees, etc. There are many scholarship to opt for. The scholarships are for the categories and also for open people. There are 40 students in my department and everyone has paid the same fees.
Campus life is great. The college has this huge fest named The Dimensions and it is in every mid December it goes along with annual days and days. There are departmental fest also for every department. There are extracurricular activities like cricket, volleyball, football and kabbadi. There are two different libraries one for SfC courses and other is common.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
