- The large number of societies present in the college are very active and they host a number of events
- The faculty is highly approachable and they help the students to resolve their doubts with ease
Dislikes
- The infrastructure can be disappointing due to the lack of lifts and air conditioners
- The college syllabus is vast and can be a little difficult for students
Remarks :
The college doesn't take any group discussions or personal interviews basically ur 12 percentage is what it takes into consideration including maths if u don't have maths u r not eligible even to fill the form of the college and a student needs to score above 90 in order to get into the college otherwise sorry u will be rejected in the first course itself
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college solely focuses on nep and it totally follows the subjects provided by them .since my course is bcom hons so I had law and accounts as my main subject,along with that I had eco ,hindi, foundation course and management studies.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I opted for one remote internship with a company named younity it was a paid internship and I really enjoyed my task as I was assigned as a marketing intern .I was paid around 1000 for 2 weeks for that internship and that internship really provided me the practical exposure that I needed
Placement Experience :
The college is famous for placements Xavier's literally provides the best placement opportunities with almost all the big mnc's doing campus placements because of its brand value and the strong alumini present .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
One year fee is approx 1,20,000 with 60,000 being for one semester .The fees needs to be paid in 4 installments and 30,000 is the approx fees for one installment .the security deposit is around 5000 which is obviously refundable.
Campus Life :
The college has various societies which perform events throughout the year and the highlight event of the college is the xavotsav which happens mainly in jan or Feb for three days.There are also other facilities present like gymnasium,tt room,central library,etc

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
