- my top good thing about this college will always be my faculty and the Psychology department all of us are really close and we also organise a lot of events like world bowle syndrome day, we have also hood a lot of workshops like dance movement therapy art therapy which help us a lot we also conduct a lot of interactive sessions on days such as by polar depression day anxiety day.
- second would be the campus life because NS hm is actually a very close net college there are not a lot of students so what happens is everybody knows each other which gives you a very very homely environment and all of them are so friendly so nice and it's such a beautiful environment and in front of the campus is a beautiful garden as well and we also have a lot of pets in the campus like some stray dogs which the campus has adopted some stray cats , all of them are really lovable and not harmful at all the best part about the campus is that as soon as you enter straight there is a parking area which is covered with trees and it is so so beautiful to look at.
Dislikes
- what I dislike about the college is the infrastructure because it's a little small but we have been taken over by another bigger college and does a lot of construction and reconstruction happening and I am expecting in the next 1 to 2 years that problem will also be solved.
Remarks :
I faced a interview and an online test . The online test is now discontinued now they only have a interview. NSHM is a very close knit college which provides you with homely feeling among teachers and peers.
Course Curriculum Overview :
my course is really really enriching and the Psychology department has one of the best faculties available . we have in total five faculty members for psychology with steach the core subjects out of these 5 , 3 of them have PhD and two of them have their ma and have clear their UGC NET exams . all these faculties of very well trained and do not make you feel like they are your professors but take great great care of you.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I paid around 7500 per year , which is around 230 and you also supposed to pay admission fees of 50000. the exam fees is 1200 for every semester and if you have a backlog exam then it's 1000. we do have scholarships or financial age there is no specific name for it but that is something to talk about when you go into submit your form for admission.
Campus Life :
the fest of nshm is called login and it usually happens in the month of December which is December end. availability of books and journals in the library is also very good . we have a lot of other schools of nshm where the focus on sports communication and cultural activities. within each schools they have smaller groups and clubs like environment club , movie club , book club etc.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
