Affordable college to get a Btech degree in Computer Science

- I just like few of my proffessors who are really distinguished in their field and have zero ego issues,In campus i like my basketball court, Infrastructure wise my classroom are no lecture halls they are like classrooms in school
- Library is also good but is not utilised properly as most of students sit their to chill and not to study so there is no atmosphere to study in Library but its infrastructure is good
Dislikes
- I dont like my classroom as they are ordinary not lecture halls and smart board also dont work
- I dont like the canteen at all as it is non functional and do not have diversified menu just few bakery items and softdrinks are available
Remarks :
I wanted to do my masters abroad that is why i chose this college because of affordability and jalandhar is hub for Visa agents and i could get coaching for various competitive exams in jalandhar and requirements were also less for admission and central location of jalandhar in punjab
Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum is very outdated and of no use in current job market but faculty is experienced and are very helpful and cheerful.Most of my professors are PHD holders but the curriculum is outdated and rotten.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are available in companies like Infosys,Tcs, Tech Mahindra but only a few really just a few get pre placement offer. The stipend amount is between 10-20 k I secured an off campus internship at NiT
Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are good many companies visit the campus but students are not prepared for the interviews as most of them want to go knada(Canada).I secured an offcampus internship on my own during 3rd year and college was really helpful with me for same.. Companies like accenture,ST Mircorlectronis, Infosys visited the campus and offered placement to 70 students out of batch of 90 but only 10 actually got placed in Infosys.4 went to st microelectronics
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees is about 50000 for odd semester and 350000 for even semester there is scholarship of 20% if you get 93%in boards.There is Pradhan mantri yojna scheme for sc students and they have to pay zero fees and there is also drcc scheme for bihar students by bihar govt
Campus Life :
Very few extra curricular activities qnd they won't encourage you to take part.Only one tech fest was conducted during my time of 3 years in college and that was more of a cultural fest not a tech fest...There are basic cultural clubs like dancing singing and painting....I tried making a club of my own but curriculum and academic requirements took me down
Hostel Facilities :
Mess is pathetic.Old small shabby room if your roommate is sick you will definately get sick such small is the room.Mess service was also very poor.Most of us opted for PG rooms in 2nd sem.There is one pool table for indoor games and a pathetic gym for which there are additional charges

To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
