- The college has a very good campus, students and faculty are very heart warming. They are ever ready to help. There are variations in courses and subjects that are being offered. The canteen provides good and hygienic food
- The ac classrooms during summer are life saver and also the different event held in the college to freshen up the mind is incredible
Dislikes
- The amount of students in each section is quite a lot, as the capacity is 600 but the staff compared to the students is very less and becomes difficult for student and teacher approch ability
Remarks :
Admission are given on the basis of merit and merit list circulated by the college. However reserved seats are given to students of cultural quota , sports , caste certificate, etc.Over all the procedure is unbiased and just.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Gcc is a well reputed college in Assam. Students from different states and cities come here to take admission. Moreover the faculty is welcoming and provides different choices for subjects. It has a well maintained campus along with auditorium hall, canteen, gym, playground, girl common room , boys common room, etc. It provides courses such as bcom, bba, mcom, mba , and so on. It also has hs facilities. The exams taken are of moderate level and each semester consists of 2 exams, sessional and finals. However our course was of 6 semester divided along 3 years but the new education policy consists of 8 semester divided along 4 yrs
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure is divided into 6 parts , each semester costs around 5000, per year 10000, and total bcom costs 30,000. It also provides financial aids to students with low income certificate. The financial aid consists of free admission. Moreover the examination fees are to be paid irrespective of the admission fees aid. The college fees is comparatively affordable as compared to other colleges. It also provides quotas as per caste certificate, sports , cultural, specially abled , etc. The merit for special quotas are less as compared to general students
Campus Life :
There are different fests that are organised along the whole years , it starts from Saraswati puja, college week , cultural week, elections , different inter College completions , etc. It has nss, ncc, students unions etc. there is a Library room which provides various book facilities.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

Placement Experience :
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
