Likes
- I like my friends in the college there was soo much fun to spend time with them, I'm was so excited to go to college to meet my friends and hangout, the best thing I like about my college is my friends.
- The teachers are very good and friendly who taught us perfectly from down to top everything about books and other things also, they always available for us students if we have any doubts, Our college teachers are best.
Dislikes
- The most I didn't like about the parking area distance of our college it's didn't have so much space for parking the vehicles of the students in the college . If the parking area was big then it's helps the student so much.
- The most dislike thing about our canteen foods they were no healthy foods and anything for the students, they use so much oil for the food, that will make us sick, if the college decided to make good foods then student will be healthy.
Remarks :
Gauhati Commerce College is one of best college in Guwahati for Commerce Stream, this is the reason I take admission in this college. No I didn't face any kind of tests for admission, they published a list.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Gauhati Commerce College has the best teachers for Commerce , who has great experience in teaching . Every year we get special kind of books and magazine from our college that's helps to improve our knowledge.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I do internship in a CA firm for 6 months it was a great experience . They give some of amount for my intership, this internship helps me alot for understanding the accounts more oftenly. It was a great experience of my life.
Placement Experience :
No our college didn't give any placement from their side to the students, they give only marksheet after the final year exams results out, but some of the college gives opportunity to the students for placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure of our college is very good and affordable, also our college gives free admission to the students who are financially poor , My course Bcom Total fees was Rs. 18000 , and for free admission students are only 5 or 6 thousand.
Campus Life :
Gauhati Commerce College campus was beautiful and greenery, small garden are there beside the campus that's makes Campus more beautiful. Socially students of our class was soo good and friendly they help each other without hesitating.
Hostel Facilities :
The food was pretty good in our hostels, they give extra if someone needed and different items daily. The student have to register their name in college hostel then they can stay at hostel. If the student rented a room then the locality was good at all, some places are creeply but it was all good.

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
