- This university has all facilities at affordable fee but the placement in engineering is not so good .
- Various scholarships schemes , academic events , green campus , university cafeteria is there , gym is free for campus students, library is nice , overall it is good as per academic basis.
Dislikes
- Placement should improve and due to bad placement stats ,students here do good in exams iike gate and gre or go for off campus placement
- Gym infrastructure should improve and hostel restrictions should be less
- Few academic building need to be renovate
- Hackathon and ideathon should be organised at good level
- No night life due to restrictions in hostel to not to go out after 9 pm for boys and after 7 pm for girls but if you live in pg outside the hostel you need not worry about the restrictions
- Campus hostel seats should increase to accommodate more students.
Remarks :
I had given jee mains in 2024 and my rank was around 93k .. I wanted to opt for cse branch that too in a government college but on this rank it was impossible for me to get cse in nits and iits so I chose this college in GFTI category as it is a central university with naac A++ accreditation and fee is less as comared to other gftis and private colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is as per the NEP 2020 which focuses more on practical based learning and involve projects and experiments. The academic life is good here and the students are hard working. Faculties are highly qualified from top colleges across India and few of them have patents.. Teaching methodology is somewhat not so Good but still good considering that for an engineering college.
Internships Opportunities :
No as I have joined this college in 2024 and currently in first sem so there is no such internship opportunities as of now but for seniors various paid and unpaid internships are offered. Internship opportunities is not good as for now but students try their best to find internship and some of them grab it too and get a handsome amount of money . So it's all depends on your skills
Placement Experience :
Placement is not good . Few students get on campus placement as very few good companies visits Campus but most of the students do well in off campus placement. Highest package ( off campus) = 50 LPA AVERAGE PACKAGE = 8 lpa
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Course Fee per year including tuition fee, lab fee, Library fee, medical fee, exam fee, id card fee, fest fee, yoga and sports fee is around ?30900. If we talk about fee in semester wise instead of yearly then it is around ?16000 in odd semesters(i.e 1,3,5,7) and around ?15000 in even semesters(i.e 2,4,6,8) [04/02, 4:12?pm] Piyush: In the first year you have to pay ?1000 as a caution money, 750 as admission fee and ?300 as enrollment fee so the fee for the first year is around 32950 thenafter in further years you have to pay 30900 for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. Talking about scholarship,,,there are few scholarship and services schemes which helps students with weaker financial condition and university also provide an amount of 15000 to the student who score the highest grade in a year among all the branches... There are also sc st cell to support sc st student.
Campus Life :
Guru Ghasidas University Bilaspur Chhattisgarh, Campus is spread over an area of about 650 acres which itself shows how big the university but campus size is very basic things to consider. Night life is not so good due to the tier 3 area of koni where this university is situated still you will find everything nearby or in cities for meal , hangout or to explore. Our university has a dedicated Library known as NALANDA CENTRAL LIBRARY which is the major attraction of studios students.. There are lots of book there and PCs too for study purpose. Apart from that besides the library there is sport complex where students do extra activities apart from academic for their physical growth. Our university has also various students' clubs like ABHINARTAN for dance , TARANG for MUSIC , CHALCHITRA for videography and photography, GDGC and GFG for TECH ENTHUSIASTS , CHESS , a chemical engineering society, IEEE for ece and ee students and much more
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is limited so hostel is given on the jee mains rank basis with consideration of category... There are about 4 boys and 3 girls hostel. Hostel is quite good and facilities are also impressive at such fee Talking about mess , food quality is good and hygiene is taken care by mess vendors. Hostel balcony and washrooms are cleaned on daily basis. Every room is two seater with two study table , two beds , mercury lights , two large almirah attached to wall , switch sockets. Mess fee is paid advance after every three months i.e 10100 and hostel fee is 10000 per year ( kindly check out the fee structure on official ggv site as it may increase)

I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. For the the students in the BTech where awarded with better job opportunities and placement.

According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

Rungta collage have a good numbers of companies in there list , and most of them visited every year for placements , almost 90% + students got placed every year and the average salary offered is 4 LPA.

Placement Experience :
From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
