I chose this college only because it was the only College in Kolkata at that time which had CSBS course. I applied to SNUET (their own kinda entrance during that time), cleared it, and took admission. But, I think, you can even take direct admission here as it is a private college.
The course curriculum I believe is very balanced. It teaches all the basics we need to know about every field in computer science, also the faculties are helpful regarding the academics. The course teaches one procedural Language, one object oriented programming language, and different things related cs. There are 3 types of exams, mid semester, end semester and continuous assessment. They were all taken with proper gaps, and difficulty isn't that high.
We actually did not get any internship opportunities from our college, all we got is q Campus Drive where recruiters kept coming and hiring. Now it depends on the company on whether they wanna train the employees or want ready made products.
Placements and job opportunities, I would say, is pretty fair. We had a lot of companies till now. The only downside is that the average package is very very low, like 2.5LPA, 3LPA, like that. But, we had good named companies , like TCS, Nutanix, Microsoft this 2024-25 season.
The total course fee is Rs. 5,70,000 for 4 years, which amounts to 1,42,500 per year. But, it actually doesn't work like that. Semester Fee for each semester is 66,750 which means 1,33,500 per year. And during admission, you have to pay a total of 1,02,750 which includes the 1st semester fee and other facility fee. Also, I am not sure about any scholarship, but I remember one of my friends got 25% off because of her WBJEE Rank. However, in 2025, the fee structure may have increased.
Campus life, I would say, has been poor for me till far. As, since 2021, we only had 2 fests in total. One was on 2022 Spring and the next happened in 2025 January. But, nowadays, I see the college improving. The canteen is more available, there are food trucks, books have increased in the library, but still no club features (a few do exist but they are dead clubs anyway)
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
