- I think the food of the canteen can improve a lot yes it is good but still is can improve
- During the rainy season floods occurs so often that college most if the time remain off
Remarks :
This college is one of the reputed college in guwahati and it's education is also top notch, you will get a big campus to see around the teachers are also very friendly and supportive. I have taken accounts as my honours so the cut off were little bit high as compared to other subjects. If you want to take admission u can easily take but u have to pass the cut off otherwise there is no such written or oral exam before admission..
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have choosen this course because I have interest in accounts and I want to pursue my career in accounts. The qualification of the faculty are high level one taking admission doesn't have to take care of the faculty because faculty members are very friendly very supportive and encouraging.. Term exam are up to date when they require..
Internships Opportunities :
There will be lot of internship opportunities as per my knowledge and students can get the opportunities through the WhatsApp group through that the company will offer internship further I don't have such knowledge as personally I have not taken any internship..
Placement Experience :
There is no such campus placement offers but after completion of your degree u can get upto 6-9 lakh per anum as per your results. As I m preparing alongside ca so after my completion of my degree I wil continue reading ca exam.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure of bcom is 7180 per year along with exam fees ,gu registration but u can also get free admission if you belong to weeker section ... And there is also an scholarship opportunity through nsp portal it the student can get the scholarship the student can easily get 54000 per year from the scholarship..
Campus Life :
In the month of September there is a fest that is conducted every year.. You can find several books that will be helpful for you in the library and the classroom is also filled with all the necessary amenities like ac , Black board, 6-8 fan , projector and etc.. You can find very good amount of sports that are played in the sports week .. There are several groups and when one take admission he will also get to those groups by whatsapp..
Hostel Facilities :
As regards to that I have no information about the hostel as I have not applied for the hostel but one of my friend have taken the hostel and said it is a good one you will get the bacis facility and the price is also very low . I live in a room and near college and my locality is very friendly and matured..

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
