It is mentioned on the official site of Delhi University that this is an north campus college but in reality after going in the college i realised that it is an off campus college, and mostly students are stuck there for the same reason.
Faculty is well qualified, they have a lot of teaching experience and they are quite helpful. Exams are taken every semester that is around roughly 4 months, and the exams are easy to pass, one can easily clear the exams by studying a day before or two.
I have opted for many internship opportunities but they all are paid, you have to pay a seperate fees of around 4 thousand to get a placement that too without stipend and they don't give internship in big companies
There are not much placements in this college, although they have a seperate department for the placement know as placement cell but they don't get approached by much companies so it's hard to get placed through college.
It is 25000 per year and it's a three year course so it cost around 75000, the fees is same for both general categories and reservations, although they are charging higher fees than ither off campus colleges of Delhi University.
There's exactly no social life in shyam lal college, the crowd there is mostly from outside the state so there are different groups formed on the basis of state or languages, that creates some kind of hate in the college.
There is no hostel facility in this college, there's only a canteen in the college and that too is bad, some days ago a cockroach was found in the food there and a case was registered against the college canteen.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
