- The buildings, the campus is very beautiful with different flowers and plants adding to its enriching beauty.
- The faculties and staff are very cooperative and helpful and thus it is a great help to us
Dislikes
- Lifts are not allowed to students unless under special circumstances or emergency but are only allowed to faculties.
- In every floor of every building there is no girls washroom which leads to many difficulties
Remarks :
I took admission in this college via Wbjee councelling where my rank was 30 thousand. Though for CSD stream , students with much higher rank can take admission, I personally took the stream because it was new and unique. The cutoff for CSD stream via Wbjee was 1267425, for ME it was 1046084, for civil engineering 937688 , for CSE (Data science)- 690129 , CSE (cyber security)-743000,for CSE it was 340975, CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning)-780298. The college also grants admission via management quota and also via Jee councelling though the seats are less as compared to wbjee. Though the college is private still it provides life enriching knowledge and focuses on various extra curricular activities including technical and non technical activities.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The demand for incorporating good and and intelligent interactive design with rich media is increasing .This stream aims to develop graduated that are not only well versed with computing approaches , tools but also experienced at design approaches and new media technologies and its uses. Nearly all the professors are phD holders with some MTech and M E degree. The teachers are very cooperative, cool and friendly enough to make us well accustomed to college life and aslo enough experienced to give us life enriching knowledge. The semester is an interval of 6 months and in each semester there is one CIA1 which in mid terms exams, the CIA2 which includes assignment, quiz and projects, then at the end of 6 month , the final semester exam occurs. The exms are difficult but since from the year 2024 the college became autonomous so the question paper is set by the college teachers only so by following the class and the professors 's notes one can easily achieve good mark.
Internships Opportunities :
No still now I have not opted for any internship programs but the college offers many paid internship programs from Wipro, Aicte approved live projects and aicte internship+ microsoft, Rinex internship which is in partnership with google and aicte, placement cell of Stop.ai powered by Wipro Dice ID and many more
Placement Experience :
The first and foremost requirement is a good cgpa in every semester eg minimum 7.5 per semester with also 75% above in boards. These are the foremost criteria for placement opportunities according to which pupils are short listed . Companies like Wipro Capgemini TCS IBM Infosys Nielson IQ to name a few are the regular valued visitors to the college for campus placements. It is a matter of pride that inspite of unprecedented recession in service sectors the placement record broke all past records amounting to 1182 numbers in 2022 , for the previous year students have received 840 offers including multiple offers.

Semester fees : tution fees -55000(per sem;interval of 6 months)x2=110000, development fees-16,500; examination fees:2400; library fees:1500; student welfare fund:1000; caution money:5000[without hostel] TOTAL -130000 With hostel: Seat rent: 20000, mess charge :50000, hostel caution money:4000 TOTAL:255000 The same fees structure is for Electrical Engineering, Computer science and engineering (AIML), CSE(Data science) For Computer science and engineering, Information Technology (CSE)and Electronic and Communication (ECE) the fees structure is: Tution fees:121000, Development fees-18150, examination fees:2400, Library fees: 1500: Student welfare fund:1000; caution money:5000 Scolarship: the tution fees waiver(TFW) scheme of AICTE for undergraduate, West bengal Student Credit Card (WBSCCS) is also available and provide a maximum limit of 10 lakhs, West Bengal Financial scheme(WBFS) for economically poor background students . Minority welfare merit cum Means scolarship also available.
Campus Life :
Zeal is the annual cultural fest of the students of BCREC which is organised every year with passion and enthusiasm. It generally takes place on the end of January where for 2 days the students display their artistry with zeal. Horizon in the tech fest that occurs every year in the month of February where students showcase their technical inventions. The well equipped DR Meghnad Saha Central Library has a good collection of of over 97000 books . The class rooms have latest teaching aids with OHP , linked to a computer with high speed data network and projection screen. This college is the 1st private college in the locality to start the NCC program . Campus life at BCREC has outdoor games like volleyball, basketball , badminton and indoor games include table tennis, carom, chess, etc.There are many technical and non technical clubs like ACM, Cybersecurity,Desinova and many more non technical clubs like alumini association and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
No , I have not opted for hostel and I live in a nearby mess which is 10 minutes away from the college. Accomodation at boys hostel and girls hostel being limited , students are advised to apply immediately after admission in seperate prescribed form . Allotment is based on need, financial position and other allied aspects. There are single and shared room accomodation, first aid facility with 24 x7 vehicle for emergency, visitors and guests rooms with ac and generators facilities, dining room with hygenic food , Security and cctv surveillance, well equipped gym, cold water dispenser, high end internet connectivity and library for hosteliers. Hostels are managed by female matrons and male wardens under hostel superintendents and professors.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
