IIIT Nagpur is a college under the national importance scheme of Government and fully works on PPP model. I secure 97.08 percentile in JEE main 2024 and under OBC category reservation it was the best college for my computer science engineering branch after analysing many aspects from different colleges for the same percentile. The college allots admission only on pure merit - base.
I have a kin interest in technology the site chose computer science engineering branch the faculty INT Nagpur is quite friendly and well educated and nose how to handles students and their doubts the faculties are very friendly and chill . 1 semester is of 5 months and this term includes two sessional examinations and one end semester examination of 15 and 50 marks respectively. The difficulty level of these examinations are above average but it seem easy because of the faculties and their teachings.
As I am in the first year I don't have applied for internship but after talking with seniors I have realise that the college encourages internship it's tnp cell is very active and updates regularly about the internship opportunities to its students.
Students are eligible to apply for placements in the there third and four year various renowned companies come for campus recruitment like TCS tech Mahindra Infosys Siemens. The batch of 2022 war offered the best packages which included the highest package of 90 lpa. The placement rate of the college is quite good which is 80%. The median packages of 11 lpa.
1st year- 247000 2/3/4th year- 229000 The college fees is same for all category students the college does not provide any scholarship to students but encourages to apply for government and private scholarships.
In 2021 the college shifted to its permanent campus which is distributed across 100 acres but it is in its development States so now currently the college only has four buildings which includes one academic block one admin block one residential block and one hostel the campus view is quite senik because of the nature impressive elements currently the college does not have any sports infrastructure but there developing as a very big ground is being developed in the backyard of hostel the college also has Music club drama club a debate club or dance club and there is a club which is named as Google developer groups which includes web development group ad development group data structures group et cetera.
The main issue with the college is that it has a bad size of molecules 100 but hostel rooms is only for around 3 to 400 students the the other remaining students are supposed to live in an integrated hostel which is 6 to 8 km away from the college I live in a rental room which is near to college. Does the information provided about the hostel is the only thing that I have heard the quality of the food in the mess is below average . Hostel rooms are not very well spacious but sufficient or enough for two peoples to live the hostel contains us night canteen he college has a small canteen in the academic block and the quality of the canteen food is average. The locality of my rented room is not quite safe but sufficient forest student to live and manage and not very service available locality.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
