JEE is the entrance exam to get into IIIT Nagpur after taking the exam there will be counselling named JOSSA and CSAB by this u can get into college accordingly. For general students to get into the CS branch the cut-off is nearly about 98 percentile for OBC and EWS the cut-off is 96 percentile and for SC-ST cutoff is around 90 percentile.
The reason I chose the CSE( HCI and GT ) branch is that I have a great interest in Game development and this is the only college that offers this course. All faculties are highly qualified and p.h.d certified some of them are IITian and some are NITian that's why they have a lot of experience and have a great teaching method. The difficulty level of exams is decent harder than regular. The cost to study is not that affordable for the middle class as it is around 1.23 lakh per semester but we can get a scholar loan at less interest to proceed with studies in this college. There are no scholarships offered by the college itself but there are some scholars from central and state governments which we are eligible for. Scholarships can be found on NSP.
There is officially no internship program given by the college till 3rd year of graduation, although the faculty supports us in getting internships for experience. In every semester some subjects consist of practical work, so the faculty gives us assignments to make mini projects which we can showcase on a LinkedIn profile to get internships.
Generally, there are not any criteria for placement but the companies that come to college like Infosys, Wipro etc have criteria for an interview that is above 7 cgpa roughly, the placement rate is around 80% and the highest offered package is 90 lpa in 2023 with the median package of 14 lpa. Also, the faculty supports us in getting off-campus jobs.
Cultural fest, Technical fest, Sports fest are the 3 major fest organised. With the library availability of books and journals is decent All books related to the course subject present can be easily available. Apart from this, there are many novels journals and biography books present at the library and we can access 2 books at a time. Extra-curricular activities consist of sports like badminton, cricket, marathons, table tennis, football etc. Clubs like coding, orating, dance and music are present apart from this some technical clubs for the development of games apps and websites are also present all clubs are run by students. The quality of food is decent and the menu is changed every month so no issue with varieties for a meal. The registration process can be done online through the official website of IIT Nagpur
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
