Likes
- The supportive faculties and staffs behaviour which helps students to feel safe.
- The fees is very much affordable and reasonable.
Dislikes
- The distance between the hostel and main campus is too much.
- The infrastructure like central library is still under development
Remarks :
Firstly it's a good central University with very highly educated faculties. The exposure to the labs here are very good. The fees of the institute is also very much affordable . The only inconvenience I faced that the hostels are too much away from the main campus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The complete curriculum is based on Entrance exams and skills development which is required for further PhD students . The professors here also supports us for summer internships in further bigger labs of CSIR and motivates us to participate in scholarship based exams NET JRF.
Internships Opportunities :
Yess I have opted for summer internship in CSIR labs and also attended internships and workshops at CSIR IHBT palampur which was completely funded by our college. I have also attended workshop which was hosted by our university on Patent filing.
Placement Experience :
Yes we have a proper placement cell which is opened the previous years many companies has visited here and the placements are quite good as freshers and gives us a good opportunity to students who are looking for jobs and recruiters . The highest package is here around 12 lpa in engeneering department, and the average in around 6-7 lpa.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In First Semester I had to pay around 14070 rupees In Second semester and the successsive semester my fees is 9070 each . Admission is also based on GATB exam and the candidates which qualified this exams are funded with DBT fellowship for their study.
Campus Life :
There are three canteens in our University which offers very budget friendly, healthy and tasty foods . The playground is also well equipped here so Students can play in there free time. The environment here is very safe and friendly .There are different auditoriums for different workshops and programs.
Hostel Facilities :
I rented a PG near University it costs almost the same as hostel. My fellow mates stay in College Hostel they face the problem in sharing rooms as they allot a single room to 3 candidates which makes it kind of messy . overall the food of their mess is quite good . The fees is around 6000 per month and the same goes with the PG here.

Placement Experience :
Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.

Placement Experience :
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro,infuses,bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Placement and college life at IIT Jammu
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.

quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
My University Life In The University of Kashmir.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.

Decent placement is seen here.Students get placed from semester 7 .TCs,Adobe etc companies comes here to give opportunities for students.Highest package of last year from chemical branch is 13 lakh and median is 7.5 lakh.

Placement Experience :
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
