- The campus has a very aesthetic and serene vibe.There is a separate canteen for faculty and students. The university also has a CCD, wow momo outlet, Nescafe, A cafe , certain stalls etc.
- The infrastructure is very beautiful and greenery every where . The faculty members are very supportive and experienced in their fields.
Remarks :
The placement opportunities and the location prompted me to get admitted in this college. The campus is great but outside the college the condition of road is not good. One can get directly admitted in this college without any interview but they must have biology as core subject and 50% marks in their respective boards for getting admitted in my course.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The urge to create a social impact and difference along with exploring something new made me choose this course. The faculty is highly qualified and best in their own fields and have a very convenient teaching method which is quite easy to grasp.The term end examination are held every 6 months and the difficulty level was also high
Internships Opportunities :
Two internships done in companies InBol health care and synbiogensis as trainee in RDNA technology and PCR technology along with Sanger sequencing.We were assigned to isolate rna from human blood using trizol method along with using various kinds of PCR. Also isolation of DNA from the liver of the rat. The timing of the internship was 10 to 8 everyday along with off at weekends. The learning experience was quite satisfying.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placement opportunities are cgpa and interview clearance etc. Few recruiters are clinosol, inbol and some other companies from Bangalore and Guwahati.The average package is of 2.5lpa and the highest package is 25lpa.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total tuition fee per year is 50000 along with 2500 registration fee and admission fee 40000. There is additional fee for skill development in first year of 5000. The examination fee per semester is 1000. There are various scholarships offered to the students by the university as well as government based on their merit of upto 60000.
Campus Life :
There are in total two fests organised by the university in which one is tech fest and the other one is the cultural fest held in the month of February and March respectively.All the required books and journals are easily available in the library along with smartboard in the classroom and well equipped labs.Some sports tournament are regularly held in the football stadium field.The fest is named Concordia.The university has its own website and certain instagram handles are also available.
Hostel Facilities :
I have rented a pg near the college campus. It is near a temple with nice fooding and lodging facilities along with 24/7 wifi and nice and accomodating rooms. The market place is very close to the house and everything is easily available and accessible.The food offered in the hotel is quite appetizing and feels homely with a different menu everyday. They also offer variety of nutritious food diet.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.

Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
