- The students of lower economical condition can get a chance to complete their graduation at very low cost.
- The college campus is eco friendly. There are lots of trees, garden with Verity of flowers, a pond is also there.
Dislikes
- There are some political violence happened rarely.
- Toilets are not mentioned regularly and their condition isn't well.
Remarks :
I decided to take admission in this college as it was my nearest one. Their fees was also very low. There are limited faculty members but they are very good. The faculty members of the English dept of the college were/are very better than the other colleges in the district. The admission process in the college is decided by the class 12th number (through making merit list). This was the only admission process. In the year 2024 the college was visited by NAAC. Though I was left out the college I always try to get know the condition of the college. In my recent visit I saw that the college campus was developed - new building were made, new courses are running, infrastructure was developed.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This college is not an autonomous college & it is ran under the instructions of Vidyasagar University. The exam was/is taken same time with the other colleges under VU. The questions were/are same; sometimes it is easy, sometime difficult. My department was English and as I said before that it is one of the best English departments in the district. The faculty members were very helpful, friendly, genius, knowledgeable. Some of their names are started with Dr. This is their qualification. They were friendly both indoor and outdoor. They were tried to teach us regularly. There were no class bunks. They were very punctual.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees I paid was almost 4000 in the college. The fees was too low. They didn't provide details fees structure. For the BA (Hons) student fees was less than 1500 in a semester. For the BSC (Hons), I thing the fees was more 2500 RS. For the BA (General) fees was less than a thousand (1000) RS. All students of particular batch were paid same amount of fees. There was no fees paying different for caste. Students were provided govt scholarships basis on their merits.
Campus Life :
The dept of English had a small departmental library. I hope it becomes bigger in these days. The college had a library and a reading room. The library was filled with lots of books. So many festivals are celebrated in the college campus where the old students are also get the chance to join. Festival like Saraswati Pujo & Basanta Utsav are celebrated every year cheerfully. The annual sports and cultural competition are also organised.
Hostel Facilities :
I didn't opted for a hostel. This is not a biggest city & this is not a biggest college so all the students came from near. The students are travelled from their home via buses and others vehicle. Cantine food quality is neither very good not bad.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
