- Smvdu's campus is very big it cover almost 450 acres of land
- The campus life is very good for students there is no restrictions on anything
- The faculty is very educated and good in nature.
Dislikes
- The college infrastructure is very old and not so good looking
- The teaching method of faculty is old i.e on whiteboards not on smart boards
Remarks :
I choose this college because it was near my home. I got admission through spot round organized by college. You can get admission through csab counselling,college counselling and spot round.The cut off is 60percentile in jee mains
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose civil engineering because of my interest and its wide scope in jammu and kashmir. Faculty of smvdu is very well educated and friendly with students. There were two exams i.e minors and majors the difficulty level is moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
I am currently in 1st year so i have not opt anh internship. Internship is only available for 2nd,3rd and 4th in my college. There is not so many internship available in my college so students theirself choose internship outside the college
Placement Experience :
Only students with no backlog and cgpa above 7 can sit in placements . The few recruiters are l&t, bosch etc.the highest package in civil engineering is 30 lakh and average package is 7 lakh per annum.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise of my college smvdu is 185000 and 10000 security fees and there is no scholarship for students.fees is same for all categories students.The fees is increasing almost every year. The hostel fees is 45000
Campus Life :
University only conduct one fest i.e annual fest in February. Almost all the books are available in central library. If you are interested in sports smvdu is best for you because it has a good infrastructure in sports.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel room is very big and clean . They are very affordable.The only thing i don't like about my hostel is mess and washroom.the mess food is so bad that even animal can't eat it and the washrooms smell all the time you can't stand there for a minute

Placement Experience :
Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.
Truths about smvdu
Placement Experience :
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro,infuses,bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Placement and college life at IIT Jammu
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.

Course Curriculum Overview :
quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
My University Life In The University of Kashmir.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.

Decent placement is seen here.Students get placed from semester 7 .TCs,Adobe etc companies comes here to give opportunities for students.Highest package of last year from chemical branch is 13 lakh and median is 7.5 lakh.
Review of SSM college
Placement Experience :
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
