- The nature along with the pools, birds and greenery, it's so eye pleasing.
- The faculties here are so humble and polite. They gives time for everyone's study related problems.
Dislikes
- The parking area here is not so good. It's necessary to upgrade it
- The washroom here is so dirty. The authority knows it but never taken any action.
Remarks :
The admission process to this college was simple enough. We have to apply through the online portal. Then we got selected based on our Madhyamik exam Score. Then they call us for councelling process and then approve the admission. There are several seats available for GD/PI etc. My teachers of school highly recommend me this college. Many of their students graduated from here and became successful in life.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There are 30 teachers available for my department. They are well trained and their teaching methods are unbeatable. The faculty to students ratio is also well maintained. so if we get any problems there is always one or more to help us. There are 4 internal exam and 2 external exams taken every year. The difficulty level is moderate. If anyone attends the class and lectures regularly, he can easily score well.
Internships Opportunities :
As I am still in 2nd semester, I am not eligible for any type of internship opportunities. But some seniors shared their experience with us. They said that, they went to Rashmi Cement Co. For internship. Their experience was quite good and they also get stipend then. They were paid like 12K a month. As per their shared experience, I think our college is doing great.
Placement Experience :
Yes our college provides internship and placement facilities. Big companies like Mahindra, Tata, Rashmi, Suzuki etc. visits our college every year for recruitment. They provides good placement opportunities and almost 60% students got selected every year. The average package they provide is around 4LPA. The highest amount offered to a candidate was 20LPA. So for better placement opportunities, you can choose our college
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure yearly is 2000. It's low and affordable. But most of the money goes for our tution which costs almost 2000 a month. Our college doesn't provide any type of scholarship programs. But we get SVMCM Scholarship provided by West bengal Govt.
Campus Life :
We have our college fest in our college which happens in between March and April. We enjoy it very much. Also they celebrate Biswakarma Puja. It's an important festival for us as we worship Biswakarma as the god of machines. We also celebrate Saraswati Puja. There is a Library available here in our college. A large number of books are available here. We can take all of our necessary academic books, story books, journals from here. A wide range of collection available here.
Hostel Facilities :
No I haven't opted for a hostel. I live in a mess room, sharing with one other. The food quality here is good. As compared to other mess or hostel foods, I would definitely say that our mess cooks really well. The mess costs me 2000 Per month. IT'S not so easy to afford it. So in some months I face difficulty to pay it.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
