Dislikes
- I don't like that this campus don't have any hostel.
- And outdoor playground of this campus is not that big.
Remarks :
You have to pass jexpo/voclet then you can join diploma. This college is located next to my district so travelling expenses are less and the college and college environment is very good so that's why I choose this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There are 3 different courses which is Civil, Electrical and Mechanical. Every department have their own labs and seminar rooms. Faculty members are very helpful and teaching are great they treat us very well.
Internships Opportunities :
I've done my internship from WBSEDCL, Hydral power plant and Indian railways (NJP). Intership opportunities are very good and student can learn so many things from the internship. It is so much helpful.
Placement Experience :
Placements are kinda good here. So many companies came every year and hire students as a trainee with stipend or salary. Companies like L&T, JSW, Royal Enfield, Ceat came every year . If anyone wants to go to reference job then they can do that. So many students doing their B.Tech on distance and doing jod somewhere.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
You have to pay the fees semester wise. There are 6 semesters for 3 years. You have to pay only around 850 per semester and if you have backlog on any subject then you have to pay more 200 rs for that. And scholarship facility is also available here.
Campus Life :
Campus life cum Engineering life is so good but difficult at the same time. We do so many things like playing indoor or outdoor games at campus. We jam together with guitar and vocals. Canteen facility and the food is very hygienic and fresh .
Hostel Facilities :
College doesn't provide the hostel. You have to rent room, or mess or any PG near the campus. Mostly the students from outside they live on PG where so many other students are also live together. They can take their personal room or they can share room. Room are in walking distance from the campus.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
