Exploring My College: A Student's Perspective
Remarks :
I chose this course because it was always been my favorite subject since my childhood, also I got so many positive reviews about this college from my friends and relatives. The infrastructure is very good so that one can choose this college for pursuing their favorite course. The environment is also helpful for studies.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There are a total of 4 professors in our given course and 60 students in total. So the ratio is 1:4 All professors are NET qualified, all of them have PhD degrees, and one has an MPhil as well. They teach us very well, in detail, line by line. And help us during recess or other breaks.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I haven't opted for any internship. There are no such opportunities available in our college. Students pursuing degrees from this college try to crack government competitive exams to get q secured job.
Placement Experience :
As it is a general degree college, there is no such opportunity to get direct placements. Students get government jobs after completing graduation on multiple courses here. No such company visits our college as it is not a technical college usually become teachers.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There's a minimal admission fee of 3500 Rs at the time of admission each year. There are also semester fees and enrollment fees such as 200 Rs or 300 Rs. You can get the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship or National Scholarship if you're a General category student and if you belong to a reserved category then you will get an Oasis scholarship provided by the Indian government. Also, the college provides some scholarships to economically weaker students. No campus job is offered though.
Campus Life :
In our first year no annual fest was organised but this year a plan is going on but the name is not decided yet. Books are abundant in the college library, the students also have access to the college reading room. The college consists of three floors. Almost 30 classrooms are there. The annual sports event is conducted every year in winter. There are no such social groups run by students but there are student unions.
Hostel Facilities :
I did not take the hostel for some reason. I live in a mess away from my college. According to the students living in a hostel, the hostel is available for almost every student reading in this college. The food quality is also good. A healthy menu is provided in the hostel. The canteen facility in the college is really good, the food quality is good, and the behavior of the manager is polite.
Interview Experience :
The eligibility criteria for this course are that you've to pass the 10+2 exam with a minimum of 50% marks in English. Then you've to go to this college's official website and apply there. No application fees were required when I got the admission. The selection process is based on the marks obtained by a student in his higher secondary examination. A merit list is prepared on that basis, and the first 60 students are shortlisted for the given course. If someone doesn't take admission, then for those seats another merit list is prepared. This continues until the seats get filled or the admission date comes. However, no interviews or written tests are conducted.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
