Remarks :
The college has a great track record of placements in the past years. Also, the college has good facilities and the faculty here are well educated and helpful with great teaching experience. The college is a good choice for those who were not able to get into Heritage or Techno through their WBJEE scores. The admission is conducted through WBJEE Counselling between June to July.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose CSE because of my interest in Computer Science right from my school days and my interest in coding also provoked me to do so. The student ratio is almost 6:4 for boys to girls and also the faculties here are well educated and with great teaching experience and also explain the topics very well. The term exams are conducted as per the schedule given by the university and semesters are conducted in June and December. The semester exams are easy to pass if one has paid attention to the classes and teachings well but if one has not done so then it becomes a little difficult to pass.
Placement Experience :
There is a dedicated Training and placement cell in the college. Every year almost 90% of the students get placed in various companies through campus placements and the average package revolves around 5-6 lpa with the highest package of 20 lpa for this session which varies every year. the companies visiting the college for placements include the top MNCs such as TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, TECH MAHINDRA, and many more.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure varies as per the course and branch of the student but for CSE it is approx 3.8 lacs for 4 years which have to be paid in 8 semesters. The other costs includes the hostel fee which is 30K for one semester and also the personal expenses that one holds. There are various state and central scholarships such as NSP Scholarships, E-Kalyan and many more that one can avail. Also loans are available by the government at cheaper rate of interest as per your eligibility. The campus placements have an approx. of 90% students getting placed for a job.
Campus Life :
The campus life is very amazing. Along with the classes there are various events organized by the social clubs of the college. There are technical clubs also present on the college and their activities are held throughout the year. Overall there are about 5 clubs in the college. apart from club activities there is an annual fest organized every year and also there is an annual athletic meet held every year at the college.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. There are three foods provided at the hostel along with evening snack tea at the time of snacks and breakfast. the menu consists of different food items that are decided by the students of the food committee consisting of students from all branches and years. The rooms in the hostel are two-seater with a common bathroom and there is a bed and a study table along with separate cupboards provided to each student to avail of the hostel facilities one needs to fill out the hostel form.
Interview Experience :
There were no group discussions or admission interviews, the admission was solely based on counseling by the WBJEE based on one's score in the examination and on being allotted one has to report at the college within a given time frame with the required documents for the admission process.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
