Genuine review of NIT raipur
Remarks :
Good aspects- placements, fests , faculties are supportive, clubs and committees, no ragging, seniors are supportive. Bad aspects - infrastructure, hostels is not for all students ( cpi basis), sports are not properly maintained.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course I have selected because of my rank at jee mains. Qualities of teachers are not good specially at teaching but they are supportive, yeah but their qualification is good all are phd holders from IIT. Teaching I would rate 5/10 you ll need youtube during exam time. The duration of every semester is 5 months , students can pass by studying last day of exam day.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes at bsp sail it is compulsory as grade is there for it you can get easily by college for sail only . for ongc , iocl you should have contact there. One can do non core internship too if he/ she have enough skills but it can be achieved only by personal efforts (off campus).
Placement Experience :
Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee structure is different according to the income of the parents - for gen / obc if income > 5 lac then full fees (1 lac 33 thousand per year) if less than 5 lac (1/3 of full fees) and if less than 1 lac then no fees and for st/sc no fees.
Campus Life :
Fest is tremendous. Every year at month of feb annual fest is conducted named eclectica. Sports fest is also held every year named shaurya and tech fest by aavartan are too good . DJ night every year 1 or 2 times depend on the occasion for mood refreshment. Clubs - GO GREEN, SAHYOG , NSS ,RAGA, NRITYAM .
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels food are great here . but to get hostel you have to maintain good cpi.afford ability as I said earlier it is not for all students . hostel are well maintained . timing for hostels upto 10 pm you can enter otherwise fine is there.
Interview Experience :
Yes only written test is there. Exam is jee mains held NTA every year 2 times.no gd is conducted and no interview. Selection will be on the basis percentile(rank ). Test pattern - 90 objective question in which 30 each from each section of PCM.5 are integer based question for each section.

According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
