- First thing I liked here, you get free time to do something extra whatever you want.
- The campus is too big and almost 10000 trees are present here to give you fresh air.
Dislikes
- The teaching style of the professors are traditional and innovative.
- Food quality is not good in the mess as they charge 2700 per month.
- Here you feel too much cold and too much hot.
Remarks :
My rank was not too good to to any other college like NIT, so I have to go to a college which was at a good location and where I can get too much free time, So I decided to get into this college. You can get admission in this college through JEE entrance exam. No any other criteria is needed. Good thing of this college is that here you get enough free time to do anything extra if you want to do. Bad thing is the placements, here you get low salary package in oncampus placements.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is old enough and only some professors are aware of new technologies. Here you get traditional assignments and students just copy these assignments from one another, there is no innovative minds. Faculties are of course well educated but not all of them are devoted to teach properly. Students are also like them or vice - versa. Here you can easily get state scholarships and also you can get some scholarships provided by industries like relience and mahindra. I think fees is not too much, it's only 34500 per semester.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes you can get internships in relevent company if you have some skills and a good CGPA. Here is a training and placement cell which provides training and conducts exams and tests for placements. I still have to apply for any internship. You can get both paid and unpaid internships from the college.
Placement Experience :
For oncampus placements, your CGPA should be higher than 7.5 but you can also get placements with low CGPA but with low salary. Infosis, TCS, Indian army and some other companies are the main recruiters who offers placements in this college. Average package you can get 3 to 3.5 lpa and highest package goes upto 12 lpa. Almost 80 to 90 percent students get placed here with low package. I am also planning to get a placement but in tech field.
Campus Life :
In SLIET, you get too much extra time to learn some extra skills if you are serious about your career. Instead of studying and learning a new skill, here too main fests are held, first one is MADHURAM, a cultural fest and the Other one is tech fest. Cultural fest comes in oct and tech fest in april. Here you can find tons of clubs and societies, some of them are useful and some of them are just a waste of time. You can get a hostel with three occupancy. You get a single room only in 4th year of your degree. Here is a decent library which closes at 7 pm. Back side of it, a reading hall continues till midnight. Here there is a cricket stadium and a sports ground also. GIRLS are not allowed to come out from the girl's hostel area after 7 pm. Hostels offer a private mess, which provides below-average food, they charge 92 rupees per day.

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
