Jee mains was the written test I wrote and then this college was alloted through josaa counselling usually the cutoff for electronics and communication branch is around 90 percentile and there are 31 seats for this department
Course curriculum is almost same as all other technical institutes there are usually 2 labs each semester and nearly 4 classes of each subject in a week, exam pattern is a bit different than the mid sem and end sem it has 3 exams per semester namely minor 1 minor 2 and major exams and usually exams are on the easier side and there's a lot of time apart from academics for other stuff and building yourself, campus is green with ample amount of space but due to remote location it's hard to go outside other than the campus premise there is a club for nearly everything you are good at, nearly 60 people are alloted for a class at once hence the small batch size helps profs know about most of the class (not a good point for people who like to skip classes like most of us ) other than that faculties are chill and will help you out with whatever issue you have or assistance you need in something you are trying out on your own, more or less your outcomes boils down to your efforts
There are not much summer internship opportunities but surely there are 6 month winter opportunities coming to the campus other than that people usually find a good opportunity off campus as well ,if not satisfied with the on campus offer
Not the best part probably but still decent there are a lot of companies visiting the college (other than 2024 as the scene in every other college ) but still there's a lot to improve on this part , efforts are been made and hopefully we'll see the changes soon
Campus Life is decent you will find like minded people and there's a club for nearly everything just that it might not be active but you can try to make it that way , infrastructure is around 450 acres with a lot of trees, dogs, ducks
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
