- The faculties of the college are great. They are very responsive to any queries. Their teaching method is very good , they are well aware of their duty and responsibility.
- The environment of the college campus is very good . There are a lot of trees in the college premises, which makes the the atmosphere pollution free.
Dislikes
- The management system of the office is a little bit slow, but it does the job.
- The college needs some technological advancements such as AC’s and smart boards ,which will improve the overall experience.
Remarks :
The location of this college is near my home, this college is regulated by The University of Burdwan. The only negative side of the college is this college is not very advanced in technology. I have applied for this college after completing my H.S. examination with several other colleges. After getting the merit lists from all the colleges, I decided to take admission to this college. The whole admission process was quite simple, I didn’t face any problems, and the overall experience was hassle-free. The college has its website, and from that website, students can apply for online admission and they can also check various other information about the college from the same website, sometimes the website doesn’t work properly due to technical errors but it happens very rarely, and the overall experience is very good. The admission process does not require any kind of examination, rather the college authority chooses the students by their marks obtained in the H.S. examination.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because I want to explore more English Literature and I love to study English. My love for the English language made my mind to choose this stream. The faculties are very well educated and well behaved. They are aware of their duty towards the students. They can explain difficult concepts in a very lucid way. They take term exams per month, and the exams are quite difficult but these exams boost the intellect of the students. The fees of this college are very nominal, the cost of studying at this college is nearly about 3000 Rupees per year. The students also get financial assistance from various scholarships. These scholarships make sure that the process of study doesn’t stop in the mid way. These scholarships also help to reduce the number of drop out students.
Internships Opportunities :
Various renowned companies like Mahindra, Bajaj Capital, Samsung, and Godrej- visit the college campus and offer placements to the students who can qualify for their interview. They provide the students with ample amount of stipends based on their duties. The average amount of stipend is around 10000-12000 per month. The roles of the internships are salesperson, market analysis, business development, and research & development.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placements is graduation. Many reputated non government brands like Tata, Godrej,Bajaj Capital, Mahindra-approaches to the students of the college for placements. The highest package is around 60000 per month and average package is around 20000-30000 per month, offered by the companies. 30%-70% of the students get placements afterwards completing their graduation. My plans after getting the degree is to try for government jobs beside the placements.
Campus Life :
Every year a fest for the Freshers is arranged by the college authority in December. The college library has ample amounts of books and journals to study, which helps students to increase their knowledge. The classrooms have enough amenities to make the students feel comfortable. The college campus is enriched with various sports and extracurricular activities. There are many social groups, clubs which is maintained and run by the college students such as - NSS, Nature Club, etc. I don’t reside in a hostel but as far as I heard from other students, the fees of the hostel are very affordable and the food, and lodging is also very good . The locality is very neat and clean.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
