Overall the college is good with some little bad things.
Likes
- The college is surrounded with full of greenery and their is a lot of cafeteria also tuck shop are available.
- Their is many parks for seating and the location is best. It's situated on main road. Outside the college their is a mini market also available.
Dislikes
- Firstly more me, my block is to far from the entrance. The auditorium has less space.
- The classrooms have only fans no AC or any other cooling system is installed. Their is less smart classes or projector classes.
Remarks :
Actually, as compared with other private colleges or universities its fees are lower and the placement is good as compared to the others who pay more fees. Yes, the campus area is small as compared to CU and other universities but the staff is good at teaching but less experienced (it's my personal view). This college belongs to PTU(Punjab technical University, Jalandhar). It is a well-reputed university. Last month CGC College got Naac A+. Overall this fee it's worthy it for the student who is not afforded the higher fees.No, I didn't face any interviews or written tests for admission they allot the seats based on 12th marks.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I'm pursuing a BTech in Artificial intelligence and data science but I came here for CSE unfortunately when I came all seats were full so at last I got AI/DS. Let's talk about faculty so mostly staff is well qualified as they know Dr. and their teaching method is also good means everyone will easily understand the topics, they give personal focus to every student and I don't think in any other colleges or universities it happens. There are two MSTs within one semester. And one semester is for 4 months only. For one semester the fee is 64,150 but in the upcoming session, it will increase. Here is no scholarship test available but yeah lone policy is available here.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I'm a first-year student so yet I didn't do any internship. But yeah college offers a lot of internships that we will see in June or July in the summer internship program. Before that, I have nothing to say about the internship program.
Placement Experience :
Placement of CGC is average. The placement of CGC and CU is held in the same place or we can say at the same place and time. For placement eligibility you don't have any backlog, your CGPA has to be 6.5 or above. And off-campus placements count is also good. The highest package I think is 80 lakhs in Bharat pay, but I'm not sure. The average package for BTech is 10-30 lakh and for other courses, it becomes 10-20 lakhs. After my degree I hope I'll get the best placement on campus otherwise I'll try off-campus placements.
Campus Life :
The campus life of CGC is average not so much cool but it's okay. Yeah here a lot of fest is conducted in February there is a fest named Parivartan and in November there is a freshers' party in between or after a lot of programs are held. There are a lot of libraries every block has a separate library with every single book and there is also a main library in the main block. For sports, there is a sports room, pool room, many grounds, and also sports teachers. Here are a lot of clubs that are run by students like quiz club, DSW, sports, etc. I'm not a hosteller so I don't about the hostel food or anything. I rented a flat outside the campus for 20k it's a 3bhk AC flat.

To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.

Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
