I had always wished to get into a Delhi university college because of its prestige and the way the institution shapes the future of its students. So I appeared for an entrance examination called Common University Entrance Test. Based on my CUET scores and cut off I filled preference list for all the du colleges which provided the B. Com course and on the basis of the required cut off score, I was selected for this College. After I getting admission in the college, there was an orientation program. Due to the completely merit based nature of the admission process, there was no GD or PI round.
I was a commerce student in my high school and the interest I developed for the stream made me pursue it in my bachelors as well. All the faculties in this college are highly trained and experienced phd scholars. Their teaching method are easy to grasp and learn. The 3/4 year course consists of total 6/8 semesters with two term exams per year. The difficulty level ranged from moderate to difficult. The college being a government has quite reasonable fees as compared to any other private college. The cost for 1 academic year around 30-32k. I have not taken any scholarship.
Not yet but I’ll soon join summer internship. I did an Internship which was unpaid with a NGO but I did not get any certificate because I had to leave that in between due to some family issues and personal reasons.
The first eligibility criteria is the avg cgpa of the students which are different for every company. The second is online exam conducted by different companies. The third is group discussion and the fourth is personal interviews then the students are selected by the company and company informs the college about it. The college placement cell takes care of every preparation which is to be done for it. The college also conducts various drives and seminar for resume building and of different companies.
The social life in the college is not much because outsiders are not allowed and there is strict checking . Recently the annual fest of college ie. Shruti ‘24 was held and is was a great success and after that all the department are conducting there annual fest. Every subject books are available in the library and every types of newspaper and magazines. All the classroom have projects and laptop connected with it for presentations and there are 3 computer labs in the college . All types sports are conducted along with yoga and according to NEP we can also opt for sports , yoga, etc . There are two hostels of the college one is inside the campus and the other is outside the campus. Registration process comes along with orients program where half of the amount is to be paid .
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
talking about placement opportunities many companies come to campus including google microsoft to core companies like texas instruments and bajaj giving a decent job opportunity. each one with a cgpa of more than 7 easily grasp job with pay of more than 12 lpa and people with decent cgpa of more than 8 grasp top jobs in the campus
