I chose this college because of the following reasons: 1. Cheapest deemed medical college 2. Merit-based admission 3. Scholarships for top-5 students based on NEET rank 4. Pune-based college therefore connectivity with major cities of the country 5. Residential campus 6. Beautiful infrastructure 7. Experienced faculty from AFMC 8. Top-notch facilities 9. Brand name of SYMBIOSIS. Bad aspects of the college: 1. A girl's college making it a bit monotonous even though we try super hard to make it interesting. 2. New college therefore the college still has teething problems which will resolve over time. 3. The campus is in the outskirts, therefore footfall in the hospital is not that much, and traveling to the city gets expensive. Admission is via NEET-UG for which coaching is available all over the country.
The college follows the CBME pattern of teaching and updates its curriculum with NMC guidelines. The college tries to follow all changes made in the syllabus. Teachers inculcate new methods of teaching. They use the PowerPoint presentation method of teaching where all the content is available on our online teaching platform. Our faculty is the best faculty all across Pune. They are experienced and retired professors from renowned institutes like BJMC and AFMC. Very supportive faculty. In first year- we had term exams after completion of each unit in all subjects apart from internal exams and university exams. The fee hike is every year- 10% increment. The total cost to study is approx. 55 lacs. The top students of the college with the highest rank in NEET-UG get the AnandiBai Gopal Scholarship where their entire fee is waived in return of 1 year bond of working in the hospital.
Internships are offered and compulsory in the hospital associated with our college, Symbiosis University Health and Research Centre. I really do t know about this because we don’t have interns yet.
After 4.4 years of MBBS, we have to work as interns in the associated hospital (SUHRC) for a year. Placements are not applicable for MBBS. After this mainly students prepare for NEET-PG, PLAB, USMLE, etc.
Fest- Avyanna Fest- In the month of April-May. The library contains multiple copies of the latest editions of all the books on various subjects. Lecture halls have a big projector and the latest technology. Fully air-conditioned All classrooms are equipped with latest devices. We have our cultural and sports clubs with their secretaries being elected every year.the The hostel and mess are top-class. The food is better than average in comparison to other colleges’ messes. The menu comprises of wide variety of cuisines. The hostel and mess is compulsory for every college student and is located 1 km from the college building.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old.
