- i like the campus area or the collage which is not to small and not to large .one more thing i like is all the departments are in one building which is very convenience for students , faculties are very friendly , supportive and helpfull nature .campus life is also preety good , all time security gards are available in the campus. I like the connectivity or the college , in just back of the college the saraswati nagar railway station is there and in front of thr college GE ROAD is there which make the college very decent connective.
- The cantine is very big and very affortable, inside the college campus vachan ,B- mart , and amoul parler is availible ,for any type of printout need the printout machine is available in B- mart at market price.which helps student's a lot .
Dislikes
- i dislike the 3 thing in the college 1st - the sound of trains which disturb us while studing 2nd -some faculties are very rude in nature . 3rd - disaponted about the in time of college hostel is 10.30. which should be at least 11.30.
- the one thing i also want to mention is the time table made by the departments they give gapes between classes which is west of time for all students ,if the classes are conducted in a continuous manner most of the classes will be completed in 1st half then the studentds are free to use there time .
Remarks :
yes one entrance exam named JEE -mains (joint entrance exam ) needs to qualify and a good score to be admitted to this college, there are different criteria for home state and another state student, I chose this college according to their NIRF ranking and also according to my convenience, as I belong from local Chhattisgarh I prefer this collage for my convenience, no need to give any type of interview or group discussions, only the exam jee -mains need to qualify.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because of my interest in chemical engineering, as well as my interest in batteries. most of the faculties are PhD holders from various iit and most of the faculty's teaching methods are decent but for some subjects, we need to depend on other sources like YouTube, books, and other resources. there are two exams in a semester 1st one is the midterm which is about 30 maximum marks which are held in the middle of the semester and 2nd is the end exam which is (max. marks = 50 marks) held at the end of the semester. there are different criteria in the fee structure based on the income of the student's family, if the student's family income is less than 100000 then approx 13000 will be required as a fee per year. for a student with a family income of less than 500000, approx 42000 will be required, and for a family income of more than 5 lahks will be needed 1.5 lahks is college fees, and over all cost of study(housing food college fees) is around 4lakh to 8 lahks. SCHOLORSHIP - NSP, and cg post matric.
Internships Opportunities :
yes, I opted for an industrial internship at BHILAI STEEL PLANT in that we need to handle the boiler and coke ovens. The industrial internship is not provided by the college they provide an institutional internship in the summer for 2 months. many students take online internships provided by many tech companies as web developers or app developers.
Placement Experience :
there are many companies come to the campus that offer more than rs - 7lakh package to students, if no campus comes we can apply in off-campus mode, the mass recruiters are, Vedanta, JSW, and Infosys - each company made around 12 to 20 offers to students. in this year 2023-24, the highest package offered is 55LPA to 3 students, the average. the package offered in this college is around 8 LPA, and the percentage of students placed is approximately 70 %, my plan after completing the degree is to get placed and after that, I will prepare for the GATE exam.
Campus Life :
the campus life is very decent at NIT RAIPUR The main fest of this collage is vinyl, summer- the sports fest, and eclectic, in January or Feb. sufficient quantity of books is available in the library of this campus. Projectors and comfortable chairs are available and in some classrooms, AC is also there. Sports like kho-kho, cricket, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and many other sports are played on this campus, one sports fest is also there. INTERNET sports are also played by students. there are many groups run by the students themselves, saying, as click-club, i-cell, fcc, Sanskriti, and think- -India, go-green, and various other groups. the hostel fee is around 54000 per year including food and laundry service. the food quality is very good in the hostel, hostels are allowed based on Jee'se score,e and from 2nd year it is allocated based on CPI in college. the locality is decent in rental cost around -1500 to 2500 nearby PG sharing rooms are available in Kota and Ddu Nagar.

I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.
