The college is a highly reputed institute and comes in the list of top deemed medical colleges in India. Secondly, it is a medical college only for women which provides a sense of security as well as empowerment. Also, the college has a good ambiance and exposure. The admission is based solely on the NEET-UG merit list and marks scored. If someone is scoring above 560 in NEET-UG, then she can consider SMCW as an option.
MBBS is a hard course indeed but it is worthy of giving your best years of life. The sense of being a healthcare professional who deals with lives is incomparable. The college follows the curriculum provided by the National Medical Council and the same curriculum is followed all over India in each medical college. The faculty focuses on a professional way of teaching by incorporating practical and competency-based aspects, The faculty is supportive and well-experienced as all of them are doctors who are alumni of reputed institutes like armed force medical colleges.
After 4.5 years of MBBS, 1 year of internship is compulsory in the hospital owned by the college. In our case, it is Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre. The hospital is well-furnished with wards, IPD, OPD, and operation theatres. Internships in hospitals is surely of great importance as we get to practice real-world medical cases.
After completion of 5.5 years of MBBS, our college provides placements as a junior resident in various colleges across India. The average package for a Junior Resident is about 30,000 Rs. per month. However, most of the students don't take any placement to prepare for postgraduation as in medical field specialization and super specialization defines your skills.
The life on campus is tremendous. Symbiosis being a university allows us to participate in various events conducted by the university. We celebrate every festival with extreme joy. There are many sports complexes all over the campus providing access to almost all kinds of sports. Our college has its committee for art, music, dance, drama, literature, research, magazines, social media, etc. So campus life is surely a cool one. Our college does provide hostel facility. The rooms are well furnished and are in triple sharing. The hostel has all kinds of amenities including microwaves, inductions, and refrigerators on every alternate floor. We also have a mess and gym.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
