I gave jee mains and then I got this college through josaa councelling, It was a easy process as most of the work was done online , Cut off is around 92-93 percentile in jee mains , you can also get admission through cuet if you are from assam , I choose this college as this college rating for btech cse was quite good and placement was quite average and with the percentile I got in jee mains this was very suitable for me, so if you are coming through josaa and csab , the admission process would be very easy for you.
I choose btech cse because I wanted to do something in it sector and It was my interest, So the faculty of the college is very good and the qualification of the faculty is quite good , some of the teachers are educated for IIT's , so the skill and qualification of teachers are very good , Faculty is very helpful and supportive , exams are on time , you would get proper time to revise and prepare for the exams, Fees is around 55,000 per year for btech which is quite normal and hostel fee is included in this , so fee is quite normal for btech cse , scholarship is there for people belong from that state only that is assam , most of the scholarships are for them only.
Internships , you would get in 3rd year , college also provides internships and you can also do internships yourself if you have any connections or relatives working in any company through which you can get a internship yourself.
Placement is quite average for cse department , you need above 7 cgpa to get a placement here , and many good companies visit in the campus like tcs , wipro etc , Average package is around 4lpa , and around 60 percent students get placed every year , so placement is quite average , you can opt for this college if you are looking for preparation of gate. Average placement , if yoyu are thinking for 10-12 lpa , you need to be very good in everything related to computer science , so average placement.
Campus life is one of the best here in tezpur university , as the campus is around 250 acres and full of trees and greenery is everywhere , the environment is so good , surrounding is beautiful , Fest are happens mostly at the time of feb and march , library is huge , and you will every book in the library , there is around 1 Lakh books in the library , so you can imagine , you would find every book you want , There are many events happening around the year , you will find every sport here ,a nd you can take part in any game you want , For the hostel , the mess fee is around 2500 per month and the quality of the food is quite good , the registration for hostel is very easy , it will be done at the time of admission only , the faculty will help you with that , hostel life is also very good here.
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
