The environment is good for studying, with lots of resources in the library and good equipment. They are also friendly. However the overall facility can be improved like the lab, food, sport activities and club activities, if you are looking to have fun activities then this college isn't for you. For me, i had direct admission through their online portal/website, after registration, I got a call from the registrar giving me a calling interview after which I got selection information through my mail, all that was left was payment of my fees which I did in their office.
I chose this course because it has a wide scope for the future and technology is the best-growing industry. The faculty are all well qualified and have mostly done their Ph. with their teaching methods being through blackboards and projectors (smart TV). The exams and tests are very much on time and there are no delays or p exams. BCA is not a difficult subject so the exams are on medium level. Easy to pass but difficult to get the best marks. Usually, the fee per semester is 26000Rs, spanning over 4 years due to NEP. However, every year there is a semester fee which can be around 18000.
No, I have not opted for an internship but I am looking for it in the coming year. I will be happy to write about it when I do get or join one. One thing is that the college immediately will help you get this internship and sign up for different online programs.
So I am still a first year at this college and thus I have not experienced much of the placement aspect. However, from the words of seniors, I can say that the placement in charge at the college does a great job of looking for recruiters for each student passing out. A few of my senior friends have also already received job offers from decent companies around the area. Mostly the students getting this placement are around 60-80% of the class. Me, I plan to further go for my Masters after this course.
The lifestyle aspect of the college is the best part. People are very sociable and it is very easy to make friends. Although there are clubs in the college, they serve no purpose as there are hardly any activities involving them. The infrastructure is improving and although they are not yet at the best they can be, some places like the Labs can still be improved. Every year, there is college week called the D'vere or Boscosiad. At this time all kinds of competitions are held including outdoor as well as indoor sports. It is usually held during Late February or Early March. Football, Dances, Singing and many more are conducted during this period. I have opted to stay in the college hostel so here is a brief review on it. The Hostel is very good if you want to study and focus on class, there are not ma restrictions except for a few like the closing of gate at night, however, the food quality is not the best and some people might have a hard time dealing with that(Try to stay in a PG).
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
