ADBU Admission Process

ADBU admission is based on course eligibility, accepted entrance exams, application submission, document checking, and seat confirmation. The process differs by programme level and subject area.

B.Tech / BE Admission

For engineering courses, ADBU shortlists students through national or university-level entrance exams.

  • Eligibility: 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
  • Entrance exams accepted: JEE Main / CUET UG / DBU Entrance Test
  • Selection stages: Entrance score shortlisting, online application through the DBU ERP portal, document verification, seat allotment, fee payment, and enrolment

ADBU B.Tech admission in the General Category usually does not require a very high JEE Main percentile. Students who have taken JEE Main but do not meet top NIT cutoffs can still consider applying. Those without JEE Main scores may take the DBU Entrance Test.

MBA Admission

MBA selection uses a written entrance score followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.

  • Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate
  • Entrance exams accepted: CAT / MAT / DBU Entrance Test
  • Selection stages: Written test shortlisting, GD and PI, merit list release, and seat allotment

MBA Aviation Management is a two-year specialised course. It follows the same admission route, and preference is given to applicants from aviation, tourism, or hospitality backgrounds.

MCA, M.Tech, and PG Science Programmes

For MCA, M.Tech, MSW, M.Sc, MA, and M.Com, ADBU conducts the DBU Entrance Test every year in May to June.

  • MCA: Graduation in any discipline with 50% aggregate and Mathematics at +2 or graduation level
  • M.Tech: B.Tech / BE in the relevant branch with 55% aggregate
  • M.Sc / MA / M.Com / MSW: Graduation in the relevant discipline with 50% to 55% aggregate

Ph.D. Admission

For Ph.D. admission, applicants need a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale. Selection is through the University Research Entrance Test and an interview. ADBU offers Ph.D. programmes in 26 disciplines across Engineering, Sciences, Commerce, Management, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

B.Pharma, BCA, BBA, B.Com (Hons), BA (Hons), B.Sc (Hons)

These UG programmes accept CUET UG or DBU Entrance Test scores. Students must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board with 45% to 50% aggregate, depending on stream rules. Applications open in February each year and close by April.
