I heard from my cousin who studied there that the university is excellent, the faculties are good and friendly to the students and actually it was when I joined the university. The admission process is done through entrance exam and for students who got distinction marks in previous exam can get direct admission. The negative point of this university is the campus is small. Apart from that everything is fine.
Academically I can say that it's great, it covers all the necessary topics required for that particular field. The faculties are excellent here, they are punctual and teach in such a way that everyone understands the topics. If you want to join a college with a good scholarship I can suggest this college, they provide all the state, national, excellency scholarships. Fees here are quite expensive but it's acceptable since it's a private college.
The college provides many internships from outside companies like the Institute of technical training services, Tezpur, Assam, Assam Agriculture University, Guwahati, Assam, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, Assam, and even from alumni of the college.
Many companies come for Campus placement during the final year of the student. The student should have a good record of their cgpa. 90% possible for a student to get placement if they have an excellent record of their cgpa. My plans after getting this degree is to take coaching and crack competitive exams.
People from different parts of India mostly from the northeast and even abroad students make a very diverse campus. Everyone minds their own business and no interference and no ragging. There are different types of clubs are there like music, literature, dance, environment, sports clubs etc for which a student can join in whichever the student is interested. They main event in this collage is d'verve which is also known as collage week conducted for a week during the first week of March or the last week of February depending on the exam schedule. In this event, different types of competition are held from different clubs like football, volleyball basketball, badminton, singing competitions (solo, duet, choir), battle of bands, chess, tug of war, running race etc. Students have their own responsibilities to look after their own erp website where all the informations are notifies.
The college has a separate hostel for both men and women. The infrastructure of the hostel is well-furnished and tidy. The rooms are spacious and can get single room, doubles room, triple room and dormitory room. The hostel admission is done based on first cum first and the details of the hostel can get through college admission in charge. The food that we get from the hostel mess is clean and cooked properly and the menu of the mess is chicken twice a week, egg twice a week, fish twice a week, veg once a week, and special delicacies during hostel events. There are many PGs and rents around the college for both men and women.
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
