I had taken admission in this college through Neet ug exam. My score was not that great to secure a government college so amongst the private colleges, this college stood out best for me. There was an in state councelling round for the admission processes and then later it was shortlisted by the score and marksheet. My per semester fees is 9.15lakhs
The course is a five year term long course including internship. There's scholarships too for some students who fall under the below poverty line. There's separate process to it. The teachers and faculties are good and give grasping methods of learning the topics. Also, we have clinics in which we get to learn more about the patients and their disease. The final University exams take place every 8-9 months which is important for promotion to next year. Although there are internals every 2 months which help us in summing and revising up the already taught topics.
The intership ia compulsory and mandatory for all the college students which is around one year. After which you can either choose to work as a resident or can apply for externship elsewhere. The intership includes dealing with the patients, assisting the head doctors.
My plans after internship are to be mainly focussing on the post graduation for which I plan to prepare and study. There will be a neet pg examination on which's score I'm going to get my desired branch for post graduation.
The life at campus can be a little monotonous. There's strict rules and regulations regarding the timings which has to be followed. Also it a very big campus including other courses also like nursing, engineering, ayurveda, law and so on but there's a fixed timing after which we cannot visit their side of the campus. Outings and leaves are to be applied beforehand in the app provided by the college.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
