To get admission to IIT you have to clear JEE Advance and to get a circuital branch in a good IIT you need a rank under 5000. I got a 4775 rank. Cut off changes year to year ... You can get all data from the jee advance site itself and plan accordingly. To prepare for this test you can join a coaching or self-study or take a course online. You have dedicately studied for 11-12 hours for 2 years +1 and +2.
There is no fee hike for a particular batch throughout the 4 years. The faculty is average here and the teaching method of most. professors are the same just dictating the PDF. Generally, there are 2 quizzes and 2 major exams distributed in a 6 month semester. It is decided by the course faculty whether he takes quizzes or assignments. The curriculum is quite good for an electrical branch. If you have an interest in electrical core jobs you can go for it.
Yes, I got an internship in Accenture under the SDE role. The stipend is 50000 and the project is not told till now. They are teaching us concepts that will be helpful in internship projects and our future lives.
The campus placement in recent years has been very bad. There are very less companies coming and people getting hired are very less. I don't think the highest package from here recently is more than 50 lacs or something and the average package has been 10-12 lacs in recent years which is quite low for an IIT. 60-70% of students are placed only which is a quite low number mot even the CSE branch is fully placed which is quite shocking.
Zeitgeist - october, Advitya - February, Aarohan - march. Infrastructure is quite. good but some of the facilities are not up to the mark. It is actually in its developing phase. Indoor sports don't have much focus. The library is quite good and spacious. Extracurricular activities are somewhat low. If you are a person who is interested in these activities or sports IIT Ropar.might not be a good option for you. Food here is average like any other government college. Hostel fees are as low as possible it could be. The other problem is there are very few eating outlets and places you can go in Ropar which can lead to not a fun college life.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
