Remarks :

Factors on which I chose the college: Firstly, it has a very industry-updated curriculum, Has a good NIRF ranking, the faculties are experienced and placements are provided by the college on their campus itself. The con is mostly the fees, but given they have provided great learning resources, it's somewhat worth it. To gain admission to Symbiosis Law School, Pune- You need to take an entrance exam known as SLAT, further, if you clear the cut-off which varies every year, you will get mail regarding a WAT round (Written Assessment Test) which will be proctored by the college through software which you need to install prior. You are given half an hour or so, to write an essay on a current affairs topic which is provided then and there. The Personal Interview shall be conducted online wherein you will be asked questions related to your resume as well as a lot of current affairs questions may be asked.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose BBA LL.B mainly because I had a commerce background and to me, it seemed the most viable course to pursue. The faculties of the college are quite qualified most of them are Ph. D.s in their respective fields and promote healthy and open discussions in class. Term exams happen after the semester ends, but it's very competitive too. One needs to have a good understanding of the subject.

Internships Opportunities :

College doesn't provide internships, one has to find it through their connections. Often the internships for initial start are without stipend. I had worked previously for a litigating firm and as an independent counsel at SC.

Placement Experience :

Placements generally happen in the 4th and 5th year of college. Most recruiters are from law firms like AZB, Khaitan&Co, and Trilegal and some are consultancy firms like EY. Students getting placed are near to 100%

Campus Life :

Since it's not a one-roof campus, people prefer living in flats, PGs or hostels provided by the college itself. The library is quite huge one can get a lot of resources for law and as well as non-law subjects. There are a few sports grounds like volleyball courts, football courts etc, for use.

An industry focused learning experience

Placement Experience :

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
