The factors were that it's in Kolkata, the place from where I wanted to do my graduation and due to some issues I was not selected in any other colleges although I ranked AIR 3000 in NCHMCT but am glad to be in this college. My admission was direct and didn't give any entrance test and the process was smooth.
I chose this course as it allows me to study the entire idea of a hotelier and how a hotel runs and also allows me to grab numerous jobs in various departments, the exams are quite well but the university sometimes makes the question paper out of nowhere and the idea of adding extra subjects which are not even related to our background is useless and wastage of money for the students yet the faculties are the best, always pushing students towards their goal.
Yeah, I opted for an internship and I completed it on May 10th, 2024. I completed my internship at The Leela Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The internship was offered to me by my college itself. Internship opportunities available with our college are huge, one just has to know the basics of all the core departments and that is enough.
One who has completed the graduation process without fail is eligible for the job There are numerous companies, and brands who come with job offers with different packages. Some of them are like Oberoi, Taj, Leela, Hilton and many other properties also from foreign brands Near about 85 per cent of students get placement. Am sorry I can't disclose my plans after graduation as it is personal to me.
Life at the campus is okay because the campus is made with students, it's about them how they create an environment around the campus. Social life - to be honest it's very fun as our college keeps us engaged with various kinds of activities some are educational or fun, even sports are also conducted. Hostel facilities are not good, not a single room is proper for boys, for girls still it's ok but the food that they provide needs more improvement, all over if someone has to stay for emergency purposes they can stay but for six months is the agreement.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
