- The infrastructure could have been better but don't confuse it with the quality of education, it's really good.
- Sometimes, the class starts at 12 and ends at 5. People prefer morning classes so that they can utilise their evening nicely.
Remarks :
The reason behind choosing this college is it is the only state government college in a nearby place where the fees are minimal with high-quality education. The admission is on a merit basis. It depends on the marks of your 12th boards. It is merit-based.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty members are highly qualified and experienced. All the professors have PhD degrees with years of experience. Their teaching techniques are so good that it becomes easier for the students to understand the matter. The exams are conducted in a semester i.e., one exam every 6 months. There are 6 semesters for 3 years. The exams are really easy and understandable. It looks easy because all the topics are known and the faculty members have already taught about them. As it is a state government college, you can take advantage of the schemes and scholarships given by the state government.
Internships Opportunities :
I didn't opt for any internship. But my batchmates did and after that, they started working on a circular flow of income with the professor. Many of our seniors are working as an assistant professor in our college as well as different colleges.
Placement Experience :
Most of the students opt for a master's after their bachelor's degree. After completing their masters in a subject they can work on a project with highly qualified professors and can get placed. If you are planning to do PhD which of course takes time but is worth doing, after completing PhD you can work as an assistant professor and then as a permanent professor.
Campus Life :
There is a library on the campus where you can go anytime and take any book and start reading it. There is an availability of a huge number of books. In case, you have any doubts regarding your main subject, you can check out famous writer's books and clear your doubt by yourself or else there are faculty members also. Every year, the college organizes Social, freshers for the newcomers and an exhibition which are nice and enjoyable. The campus is eco-friendly as well as ragging and it is made possible because of the student council where you can connect with your seniors or the CS to get your issue resolved.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
